Love Chromeo--the guys and their music!
ОтветитьChromeo is one of my favorite electro "bands" of the last 10 years. Amazing sounds and clever songwriting... a rare combination these days. What a great interview with a real-deal synth nerd!!
ОтветитьWhen I saw the size of Chromeo I thought of a sculptor standing in front of a big block of marble just about to start their masterpiece. But in this instance the musician is the sculptor they create, carve and shape the sound. Its a process that may take some time but when it works they create an audible masterpiece.
ОтветитьWhat's behind the grills? Stage monitors?
ОтветитьThis is amazing!!!
ОтветитьFabulous, Fabulous, Fabulous... thank you guys!!
Ответитьnice to see someone controlling theri modular with a keyboard. i felt like i was the only idiot playing keys to control their eurorack when i red in forums about modular synths.
Ответить😳🔥
ОтветитьWhen I first saw Chromeo perform live, the big thing that stood out was of course this amazing setup. What an mind blowing walkthrough! Thank you for this! Can't wait to see them again in September.
ОтветитьDave and P are so dope and were the original reason I got into synths! I really appreciate this vid with all of the details!
Ответитьso glad this is an actual spaceship and not just a prop. incredible to see this realized by the man himself. so dope
Ответитьi like the guy...
Ответить...and this is why Rob doesn't have time to repair your Juno 106.
ОтветитьWhen you want to make music but also want a dr evil lair 😂 honestly amazing work 👏
ОтветитьI am so happy Anthony met Chromeo. Seems like they do the exact kind of music that derived from what he did in the 80s. TODAY and with such ambition and passion. It's incredible. This sound truly lifes on.
Ответитьwhat i really appreciate is having a line recording of the synths for this demonstration amazing!
ОтветитьWow - I've been a fan of these guys for a while, but after watching this, my respect for them has skyrocketed. Their commitment to authenticity is amazing.
Ответить🔥🔥🔥
Ответитьp-thugg is a member of the synthesizer royal family. I love this.
ОтветитьI've been following the magic of Chromeo for a long time. It is awesome to get a glimpse at all the hard work that goes in to crafting their live show.
ОтветитьI am a silver machine modular musician, but with such a wonderful spaceship I would happily go to a chrome planet.
ОтветитьThats a Ferrari of a synth ! 🤪
Ответитьinsane! ❤
ОтветитьAmazing
ОтветитьBut the musical result reminds me in most simple mini-moog programming.. So .. what does this massive nerdy synth-thing mean in the end? Just a nice looking old-school design? Musically not really innovative.. in the end, but such an impressive looking "furniture" ..
ОтветитьThat's about as boring as a modern modular synth can get. Looks fantastic and powerful to a layman though. He's a great musician maybe not much of a synth nerd.
ОтветитьIt was cool that P-Thugg was so open and transparent about every bit of modular synth and stage show architecture.
This artist driven, specific gear / software configuration style episode is a great format I hope you do more of!
This is to big !!!
What de F
Crazy
Great storytelling, and a great star - CHROMEO! Something tells me this thing is much more bass capable than I'm hearing through YT. It looks absolutely beautiful. Thank you and your team for this, and of course, would love to see more!
ОтветитьI love Chromeo and this is way cool 🤘💀🍻🔥
ОтветитьInsane
ОтветитьThat's pretty incredible, but there's no way I would tour with that. I would have a wall of mirrors and dummy face plates and just get it all from VSTs. No one will ever tell the difference live.
ОтветитьOk now....thats how ya do it big....
Ответитьawesome deep dive into this insane live modular system that is playable like no other!
ОтветитьI saw this thing live, briefly, at a festival. Had no idea what it was and didn't appreciate it at all. I wish I had known it was a synth and not a stage backdrop. Wow.
ОтветитьAmazing video as always. 🙌
ОтветитьNice stage props...
ОтветитьChrome is so 1950s, but I guess "Alumineo" or "Carboneo" would not sound as cool, and "Titaneo" would be too expensive.
ОтветитьThis one was nuts. Also make an episode with them in the studio Anthony!
Ответитьabsolutly impresiv... Greatings from Germany👋
ОтветитьAmazing fabulous sound.❤
Ответитьbeautiful !!! but in reality how much do they use all those oscilators and features during a show?
ОтветитьThis is what I call space management for fast intuitive workflow 😆😆😆 If it wasn't 99% a stage gimmick it would be laughable to the space an back; borderline crazy beyond belief.
ОтветитьI love your top ❤this is a big rig.
ОтветитьP-Thugg is basically scary lol. I'm guessing he's revealing like 3% of his technical investments. One of his other video tour was him mentioning adding a USB port (iirc?) to a emulator sampler keyboard hehe
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this great feature.❤️
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful set up!
ОтветитьGo to Chromeo’s Burbank 70’s studio full of their synths!
