That’s amazing. I knew a bit about of the behind the scenes details but most everything in this video was new information to me. I only really knew about the forced perspective but not about the moving props. So much more work went into this than I knew, and the actors were working so much harder than I thought. I did watch to the end of the video. It was a lot of fun.

It's unthinkable that the cgi was this good for a movie made back then.

It will never not amaze me just how much effort was put into making this look real without using CGI. Such a well made trilogy. Truly legendary films

The Peter Jackson films were amazing. The Amazon series of "Rings of Power" is trash.

It's extremely sad to see how 'Zon destroyed a strong foundation of the LotR legacy by butchering the possibilities with "Rings of Flour". 🙄 I'm embarrassed it even exists. It's almost as awful as the "Willow" reboot, IJ5, and the entire "The Witcher" final season. 🤮

The amount of work and dedication that went into adapting LOTR is simply unparalleled

The LOTR trilogy is truly a once in a century type of movie. The level of effort and attention to detail was never seen before in films, and won't be seen again for possibly 100 years.

That’s amazing. All that work and dedication that went through these films are truly amazing. I feel like today filmakers and actors in fantasy films like this are kinda getting lazy because of tech, making the overall quality of the movies poorer.

I've always found the miniatures of cities, towers and fortresses to be incredible. Sometimes you can tell it looks a little weird or fake, but for movies that are 20 years old it still looks good. And when you compare the budget and technology available for the original films to The Rings of Power, Peter has done an incredible job. The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and The Rings of Power all use incredible techniques that together create the best if not one of the best looking fantasy series ever. While people's opinions differ on how good those sequels are, you can't deny that they look epic anyway.

I imagine many directors, when faced with a challenge would just avoid doing certain scenes where possible. Gotta love how much work that must have went in to scenes that most people don’t think twice about.

My only issue is the cheap narrator that could not afford a wind muff/dead cat, i will never eatch a video from this channel again, it is not a good idea to have someone with a speech disorder DO NARRATING!

The character size differences are really impressive. You notice how well done LotR is compared to something like Gods of Egypt where it just looks uncanny.
