Ответить😂😂 great comments. The video should be, listen here, my Japanese ninjas, this ninjas from around the world don’t know our culture. So, don’t judge them. They aren’t being ninjas, they just have different cultures. We should respect them as they should respect us when we go to their countries. Japan is so sensitive bc their immigrant population is like 1 %.
ОтветитьI know nick from sensitive but the other commentary also made video about nick
ОтветитьAnother reason I’m scared to go to Japan 😅 i love Japanese culture and am learning Japanese rn but I stg there’s always some lil anal cultural thing you would have never known about everyone tripping on 😂 plus i got hella tattoos
ОтветитьIm glad I knew the first one from a book on Japanese culture I read a long time ago
ОтветитьDelete this video.😡
Ответить😥😰😳
ОтветитьA food habit? Rule? My friend just pointed out to me is that a lot of the time we just grab what we want from across the table. Like if I want salt I would just reach over and grab it myself but apparently you’re supposed to ask someone closest to the salt to pass it to you? It was just like a “huh, never noticed that” kinda experience.
I asked my mom about it later if she noticed that or not and she said it’s to not disturb anyone from their meal? I dunno.
From what I hear you're not going to get in trouble for this unless you're asian because Gaijin Card covers this
ОтветитьYip never going there that is alot for me
ОтветитьHow about just tell people not to expect a tourist to know everything about a culture and not take stuff personally
ОтветитьI’d rather just use a fork, because whenever I’m eating with chopsticks, I have this voice in my head just telling me: “don’t use your fingers, you’re too lazy for that, just use the chopsticks to point.”
ОтветитьI know i am late but what if you do not have a chopstick rest? What do you do?
Ответить😬 me who can't use chopsticks
ОтветитьJapan will never see me
ОтветитьThank you as this is very informative. I will definitely do all of these things whenever I am in Japan.
ОтветитьI would like to make sure real quick just because i can here, my grandma yelled at me for giving up on using chopsticks ag a sushi restaurant and eating the sushi with my hands instead, meanwhile the rest of my family said it was normal, and either use chopsticks or hands, eating sushi with your hands instead of chopsticks is normal right? Nobody else yelled at me about it other than my grandma and i have been told it was normal..
ОтветитьLife hack for japan: dress up like a demon and order food and then break all the rules simultaniously as you smirk menacingly.
Ответитьim glad i actually know this despite never going to Japan. i want to respect yall's culture as much as possible. it is the most beautiful culture I've ever had the chance to learn about and i want to know so much more.
ОтветитьCan I just use a fork?
ОтветитьThis is honestly a killer for me. I’d have such a hard time accustoming myself to a method of eating that is only still around because of tradition.
However, Japan is a beautiful place, and I hope to at least visit someday
I'm too hungry to watch videos about food.
ОтветитьI lived in Japan for 3 years and there are so many of these arbitrary rules everywhere at social events, official or business related events or interactions are so much more unescessarily complicated and stressful a big reason I enjoy the US way more than Japan
ОтветитьI will use my chopsticks however I want.
If someone gets offended about the way I use them... the problem resides within them, not me.
Is it rude to ask for spoon or fork for your food if you're offered chopsticks?
ОтветитьDo any popular restaurants in Japan that might be visited by many tourists have western utensils, if so, do they mind if you use them?
Ответитьme who likes to eat everything with my hands because it’s easier:
ОтветитьActually kinda reasonable, what a surprise
Ответить🍴
ОтветитьYes, but how is the raw fish ok to eat?
ОтветитьI was told sticking chopsticks upright in rice meant you are mourning a loss
ОтветитьI’m doing all of these idc
ОтветитьMe, about to cut and eat Ramen in a Japanese restaurant with a spork: 😋
ОтветитьI put my chopstick upright in my food all the time, just more practical.
ОтветитьMe not having the motor skills to even use chopsticks: at least i dont have to worry about this
ОтветитьThe next time I'm in Japan, it's for vacation. Can't imagine to ever live there; too many customs that restrict your everyday life.
ОтветитьHow is me eating with a fork and knife considerd rude in japan? Thinking thats rude is kinda rude init
ОтветитьWho sees chopsticks and immediately thinks cremation
ОтветитьMe bringing a spoon and a fork:
ОтветитьIn japan you have to do whole ritual with chopsticks if you have to eat so just stick with spoons
ОтветитьNext video be like: watch before you 🫵 go to japan because breathing is considered extremely rude
ОтветитьIn Japan it's considered rude to breath because dead people don't breathe
ОтветитьFork
ОтветитьNot only japan, i think this is practically anywhere else in asia, i got in trouble by one of my family memebers for doing these kinds of things in taiwan
ОтветитьThe lady in the picture was doing one of the taboos
ОтветитьI like that I follow these now
ОтветитьChopstick lore
ОтветитьI'm Japanese and handing people things chopsticks by chopsticks doesn't really remind us of bones. It's just not pretty to look at. It looks very vulgar and crude.
