The 2024 X1 BMW 28i should have visible chrome exhaust pipes for an sportier appearance! I would prefer smaller version!!

The rear end looks just like the new Honda CRV rear end

I see they have gotten rid of the adaptive brake lamps to let people know panic braking is in effect

Why would they go from the solid 8 speed to a DCT?

Still just a dressed-up Mini, but their target demographic won’t even notice or care. These will sell very well.

The only way I gave it a thumbs up! Is because we still have The Legend John Davis still here giving us great content!👌😎👍

Just got this car and wondered why MW hadn't featured it.

Me personally, I would rather buy a fully loaded top trim level mainstream compact CUV(Honda CR-V Touring, Mazda CX-5 Signature, Toyota RAV4 Limited) over an entry level luxury CUV. The mainstream models are more reliable, less expensive to service, and has better resale value than most of the luxury models(with the possible exception of Lexus), and the ride quality is usually similar sometimes even better than some luxury models.

This is pretty nice looking. The original X1 was just ugly. This looks like a slightly smaller X3. Would be nice if it came in a PHEV platform though.

The DCT, touchscreen controls, and trashy video-game instruments would be deal-breakers for me. Guessing it still needs premium gas, too. Quite a feat to combine so many red flags in one vehicle.

Imo, 😢 styling reminds me of Volvo a little. The interior and power are nice, but pricey for the size.

Great packaging with the switch to front wheel drive architecture - though at a loss to driving dynamics- and powerful, efficient powertrain albeit overly complicated which leads to expensive maintenance and repairs out of warranty. Otherwise unremarkable and pricy for their typical buyers, women, who just view these a “prestigious” handbag to sit in and preen.

The people who buy that also own a Louis Vuitton bag and have no money in the bank.

First generation that went through 2015 remains my favorite X1. It was more or less an E90 wagon with rear wheel drive architecture, hydraulic power steering, and available features like AWD, inline 6 cylinder, and M Sport

It's not progress if tech distracts from driving. Removing physical controls means menu diving means eyes off the road.
