Sometimes I think I am in one of the most exciting businesses in the world.
To be fair, when I was younger I worked as a window cleaner, I spent a period of time on a factory production line, and I sold life insurance amongst many other jobs…so the bar was set quite low! Still, it’s hard to imagine any other business that offers the variety, glamour, and colourful personalities that you encounter as a yacht broker.
Since my last newsletter to you just a week ago two of my colleagues have signed Central Agency contracts on significant yachts for sale with a total value of $50,000,000. One of them is in St Tropez and I shall be visiting her to assist with the marketing on Monday. The other is on her way to St Martin in the Caribbean where I shall film a complete walk through video of her at the end of January.
If you wonder how much business is really available to be done in the yachting industry the answer is simple; there is A LOT! When the economy is prosperous successful folk want to buy yachts, and when it is in decline they may prefer to sell their yacht. Either way, a yacht broker is kept busy trading with buyers and sellers. I am constantly amazed at the amount of superyachts that are being bought and sold, and if you are curious to know more I recommend that you take a look at superyachttimes.com and boatinternational.com regularly, maybe subscribe to their newsletters too to see some of the daily announcements of yachts that are coming to the market and that are being sold.
Personally I find it tremendously exciting to be a part of such an active industry and to know many of the yacht brokers who are enjoying the rewards that come along with a yacht sale; both financial rewards and the rewarding lifestyle.
As you probably already know, to assist you to achieve these kind of rewards I have scheduled a FREE WEBINAR to be held 17th January at 7pm CET/1pm EST. This will give you a wonderful opportunity to take a step closer to having the same sense of wonder and excitement at being a part of the yachting industry.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this newsletter I started out my working life as a window cleaner. With energy, passion, and determination I took in the knowledge needed to transform my life so that now I look forward to every day as my colleagues and I trade in superyachts. If I can do it….I have no doubt that you can too.
Let 2024 be the year that you join me!
