My name is A’rora ☺️I wasn’t named after Princess Aurora but I too LOVE Disney. I am from Texas and not from a wealthy family so I complete related when the one guy said his relative had a 70 year dream to finally visit. I got to go to Disneyland my senior year of high school and got so emotional because I didn’t think I’d ever get the opportunity to experience Disney as a *child (not a minor but still under my parents care). My parents saved up all year so that I could be a part of that trip and I’m truly grateful for them for doing that for me. Team Beauty and the Beast! Wonderful episode❤

Katelyn's parents no question are filthy rich. If we lowball it and say that a Disneyland ticket is $200 plus or minus other expenses, that's exactly a MILLION dollars spent on Disney not counting merch. $1,000,000. And that's just for her not counting her parents or whoever else went with her. That's... actually not as bad as I was expecting but still.

I think a reason people can have a bad reaction to people who are so into Disney as adults has more to do with the corporate aspect of Disney and less to do with the childish aspect. Most people I know in their late 20s or 30s have no issue with liking disney movies and music. It's when the merchandise becomes an enormous part of your personality and the only place you travel to is a theme park that you've been to dozens or (apparently) thousands of time before that it starts to give me the ick, mostly because it feels like your personality has become so wrapped up in what is ultimately a carefully calculated corporate product. I feel that same way about people who are this into anime, video games, fashion brands (think hype beasts), pop stars, whatever. The feeling that you have utterly swallowed the marketing fills me with discomfort, even if what you're doing is harmless.

This is way too emotional, as a Disney lover for the parks or the movies it's so touching seeing that more and more people start to understand why disney meant for many people around the world, it's so frustrating every time i see an article or post about people getting mad at adults loving Disney plusI really did tear up when that man's daughters are named after disney princess and thinking that the castle 🤧
