Is there any substitute available for this product coz this one isn't

What are your thoughts on using a Roland SP-404MKII Linear Wave Sampler for backing tracks?

question ? do I really need to use DI boxes on the mono outputs. I see it is has Balanced TRS Jacks so using a TRS to XLR cable with optional ground lift should work to FOH I would think.

I had a first run through about half of my solo set last night. It's got a real early 2000s feel with the crappy screen, not very robust construction and odd features, like using an ethernet cable to connect to your computer. Getting my Macbook to actually connect is a bit of a palaver too. But, once i got used to the workflow, hooked it up to my mixer and played the tracks through my PA it was amazing. I don't think I'll ever be comfortable gigging without having my set in Stagetraxx on an ipad as a backup, but i do like the way it allows you to run the whole show from one device. I also love the way it gives whoever is running the desk some control over the sound while you're playing. Previously, I've used Stagetraxx to play sets of ready mixed stereo backing tracks, and there's less flexibility for different venues' PAs with that.

Also, your gear videos (come to think of it, all your videos) are great. Best musician channel in my opinion.

Hey Scott, thanks for the review. I would like to know how Many Midi Devices can you link. I use three synths live and they getting the notes from Ableton. Is this possible?

Good morning and amazing video. Can you tell me how to create a MIDI program change message? I use Logic Pro, I create an external MIDI track then I create an empty region with a program change value “2”. I add it to the extra function into the b-beat manager but nothing compares. There isn’t a “blue block” like yours. Thanks

This looks a great product for use with audio backing tracks, but would I be correct in assuming not quite so useful for use with SMF’S?

Hi Scott, I'm a B beat and HX Stomp user too. I'm trying to get MIDI beat clock working on HX Stomp to sync midi track bpm with HX Stomp delays. HX detects external bpm from Bbeat but the tempo is jumping all over the place (at 240bpm). Have you tested MIDI beat clock feature? I don't know which device is wrong or maybe the midi file itself has problems. The manual doesn't say anything about MIDI beat clock either. It would be so helpful for other users and developer if we work this out together.

Sorry if I missed this in the video or comments, but can you sync the clock of an external keyboard from the B-Beat? (Assuming the keyboard has the capability). The need here is to sync up the speed of the click track with the arpeggiator on the keys

is there seamless transitions (or gapless play) to next song... we are medley based playing like 90 songs a night.. can I have each individual songs play one after another or do I need to bounce multiple songs and have one big file? we basically play live but as if we were a dj

I like the software for designing your show, but why is the device needed? Why not have it on ipad or laptop doing the midi to beatbuddy and loopers, etc? I guess it just separates teh show design hardward (ipad or laptop) from the performance hardware (BBeat)?? Is the input wheel and all that the main reason? Or is it that it simplifies the live show by jsut pushing playa and stop? OnSong can do videos and backing tracks too. I'm about to jump into making a show in OnSong but may want to buy this instead. Thanks for another superb video. This looks like a true all rounder. Can I just clarify something regarding midi?. Can the B-beat send midi notes as well as program changes and control messages? Id ideally like to have some tracks as audio and some synth tracks running live so I can tweak sounds live on the fly from the synths front pannel. Is this possible?

I think I checked this one a time ago, it has a bigger brother as far as I didn't confound it -
It has no ability to show lyrics on an external screen, that's why I didn't have a further look.

Hey Scott, I purchased a B Beat to replace my IPad. Great device and thanks for the exellent video. I use only stereo backing tracks live ( maybe in the future also video’s, I play Rush and my instrumental music.

I might have to get this, I currently run my tracks on an SPD Pro, but i've spent extra money on taking on fly dates. This would be so much smaller to take abroad and it links video.

Does this send MIDI clock?

This thing looks amazing! Thanks for in-depth tutorial. I currently use a Looptimus foot controller to start/stop backing tracks in Ableton via MIDI. Do you have any idea if this device will allow you to assign certain songs to different foot switches on a controller? For example:
Song 1 start via Footswitch 1.
Song 2 starts via Footswitch 2.
etc

Very useful video. Just one question tho. In case of any problems during the gig is it possible to choose to stop only the backing track without stopping the video, or the click track ? I mean.. can I selective choose what to stop by pressing the stop button with my foot switch ? Thanks

Hi Scott! So much great information! I just bought you a few coffees! Thanks so much! I am starting a new project where I will need backing tracks (for first time) and have been thinking of buying a new laptop and an audio interface, and now I see this. The one thing I don't like about this device is the MIDI connector (which will be very important for me). I am not so confident with that connector, versus a traditional 5-pin one. Maybe it is as good - I don't know :-(

I live in the United States, and obviously the power supply that comes with the B. Beat is formatted for EU. I really don't want to unintentionally damage the device, so do you have any recommendations or links for the best EU to USA power adapter, etc... to use? I was wondering if it can send midi clock via the midi out and can it send midi notes via the midi track or is it just midi CC? And also can you insert multiple midi tracks into a song?

Can I run two of these at the same time in a redundant setup?

I do love my LP 16, but I may just have to get a B Beat for the functions that the former just doesn't have.

So basic the computer is needed just to import the audio, media and midi files, once it is into the B.beat memory you can program it in the device right?

I'd been very much interested in the Idoru Backing player, and I always wish these units had cue markers and loop points, so you could go to practice and just focus on the parts you need learn for new tracks you are making, but these units only have Start, Stop. I actually use Denon Prime Go as my backing player because if has 8 Cue points. One day maybe.

Thanks for the video! I’m planning on getting this along with a wireless mic and IEMs. Do you know how I would be able to connect the wireless IEMs to the device so I can hear both the backing track and my vocals? Maybe with a wire from the receiver to the input on the device? Or maybe with that “pen?” Maybe back from the house board?

I guess that makes sense I have lots of USB-C cables and power adapters. I just want to make sure I don’t screw anything up with the power. Did you have to make that change also? Great videos. Thank you. They have helped me work out which gear to buy. Quick question: your link to the 3.5mm MIDI cable is no longer available. When I search for them, I see no reference to type A or type B. Do you know what to search for? Or even better, a link to one you know works? I want to use the midi out to trigger lights in sync with backing&click tracks.
