This is actually a very good video. The awkward thing is you talk like you've got a washing peg holding your nose closed. When talking, focus on talking from the chest and not from the nose. Talk with volume instead of croaking. Implement this and you'll be superb...
ОтветитьDo you have a peg on your nose?
ОтветитьSo… I’m kinda dumb and need some help. I have an acer nitro 5 (an515-54) and I have a usb-c port… would the usb-c port still do the job?
ОтветитьMost eGPU enclosures are too big and too expensive.
ОтветитьYo good sir can u still connect to a monitor while hooked to this thing? Lol nvm right when I hit send you said it in the video great vid bro
ОтветитьUmmm yeah you can always try custom resolution it allows you to set your monitor to a higher refresh rate.
ОтветитьMain thing I'm looking for is a way for my girlfriend to play Sims 4 without my computer because I need it for school, she doesn't have space for a desktop. Would I be best off getting her a cheaper laptop with an egpu?
Ответитьgood job on your first scripted vid
ОтветитьThis eGPU works with the lenovo legion Go?
ОтветитьLove the combo of your humor and the information! Keep up the great work and cheers from Germany 🙂
ОтветитьAs a 40 year old business man myself, I found myself relating to you on an embarrassingly deep level that I did not expect when I clicked on a review video. Loyal subscriber earned.
ОтветитьOne word: you need a benchmark result table.
ОтветитьMy laptop is 130 watts so it's useless 😢
ОтветитьHey i have a question thats been concerning me, lets say i have a laptop that has a 60 hz screen and i connect it to a 165hz monitor and bought an egpu that can run 165hz, would i be able to take advantage of the 165 fps?
ОтветитьIf egpu is something you'd need in future then Asus has an ad bc advantage since their dedicated egpu port is twice as fast as any other port and really extends life of your product. Test it yourself
Ответитьis this compatible with acer travel-mate p2?
Hope that you'll respond😀
I see you forgot to mention the PCIe Lane speed out of Thunderbolt or USB4.
Spoiler: it is not even 40 Gbps as advertised. It is more like 18 Gbps or 22 Gbps at best. Yes really inferior for such absurd price.
Meanwhile other eGPU solution like M.2 Adapter, has actual adaptive speed depending on the PCIe Gen of the Laptop and the GPU itself.
For example, if the Laptop has M.2 slot Gen 4, and GPU with PCIe Gen 4, the bandwidth is about 64 Gbps automatically without any adjustments. Waaaaay faster than Thunderbolt or USB4 at a mere fraction of the price.
If the Laptop has M.2 Gen 3 and GPU has PCIe Gen 3, then the bandwidth is 32 Gbps. Still faster than Thunderbolt or USB4 for even cheaper price
Very entertaining and very informative!
ОтветитьBugs Bunny actually exists😮
ОтветитьYou still using it if not PASS I NEED IT
ОтветитьLoved the video and it hits the valid points on why you'd want an egpu. For myself, I always wanted ultimate portability in a light thin laptop with great battery life. I don't like thick chunky gamer laptops with RGB lights and bad battery life. This gives me the best of both worlds. With how cheap cards like the rx 6700 xt have gotten it makes it even more appealing than ever before.
ОтветитьI also have a Lenovo c940 and I'm thinking of adding the Razer Chroma with a card, I was thinking to buy the RTX 3060 TI. This is completely new for me, the external gpu's I mean. My question is, would any brand work because I see there are different brands like Asus, MSI Etc, which one should I buy to be certain that it will work with the Chroma and the Lenovo c940. I'm not a gamer, it's for video editing. Hope you can help, I don't want to buy a card and then realize it is not compatible. Thanks
ОтветитьThat LED on the Chroma tho. 😢😂
ОтветитьI LOVE THIS CHANNEL ABOUT HOW HE MIXED IT WITH MEME AND HUMOR 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьThere is no “E” at the end of “port royal”
ОтветитьI have an old cybertron pc. It can't run modern games. I need an EGPU because I don't want to put the time in to find a hyper specific graphics card to fit my PC. Or upgrade my whole computer just to play new games.
Ответить14.4inch display, eww, i would throw it out the window, worst investment ever, also 4k on that tablet size monitor its a waste.
ОтветитьGreat take on this and I think you covered all the key points.
I use a Razor Core X, with an FE 3070 and an Asus Zenbook Flip (12500H cpu and 90Hz OLED). That portable laptop/tablet that I can then dock when home (mostly leave it at my parents as I have a full PC at home).
I have also tested it with several GPUs from a 1050 Ti up to an RTX 3080, and the 3070 seemed to be the sweet spot for me, though I am interested about 4000 series cards and frame generation.
From Intel 11th gen onwards you get Thunderbolt 4 which works a bit better than 3. Also at 12th gen you get much better CPUs that can keep up with desktop ones.
AMD laptops with USB 4 may also support Thunderbolt 3 now (USB 4 can and you need to check if the laptop implemented it)
For testing I find that you really need to use gaming benchmarks for eGPUs as the synthetic 3Dmark stuff focus mostly on the GPU and are not as affected by the Thunderbolt link.
Straight to the point, great video, keep it up man.
ОтветитьThank you for the video! 🎉
ОтветитьI just ordered one, but I got a VR orange room 9003 on my 2070 Max Q, got a used Razer Core X Chroma (~300) for a used TUF Gaming GeForce RTX™ 3080 OC Edition 12GB (~450)
The cable a small one, Thunder-bolt 3/4 Data Cord 40Gbps PD 100W USB 4.0 Type C to Type C Cable
Size: 0.3m (~13) guy wrote: 2700 MB/s, another guy wrote 3,200 MB/s, that whole full grown ass cable, then it heats up,
I love the point of your video but I will never go back to game development on a laptop
ОтветитьAND IM DRINKIN BOURBON
Ответитьits still so expensive, in my region in amazon the rtx 3080's cost like 1800 dollars (220k yen)
ОтветитьMost video said it sucks it chnaged my mood.
But you bro gave me a little motivation thanks 🤝😁
Of note; the USB hub in the razer core is absolutely horrible. You'll get a ton of stutters and disconnects. My understanding is the firmware is outdated and doesnt handle multiple USB devices well. Dont even get me started on the ethernet port..
I ended up getting a thunderbolt 4 dock with a downstream thunderbolt port. That allowed me to get the true one cable life.
why does this white dude sound black
ОтветитьCan this be a viable option for a steam deck?
ОтветитьSo many meme interruptions…
Ответитьyou should bloddy not
ОтветитьGreat overview
ОтветитьWell done, another sub for you sir! - Keep making those scripts, it shows in the structured content for reviews and tech content.
ОтветитьVery High quality content, you deserve 1M subs. Remember me when you will famous.
ОтветитьHey just wanted to say thanks for making this video, its really well made and im glad you showed the performance of the egpu on the laptops screen. Im buying the rtx 3080 ti after seeing your benchmarks so thanks for that, im mainly aiming to get some better gaming out of my asus laptop mainly cus it has a 4k oled screen and i wanna do some gaming in bed with an already amazing screen and you helped me ensure that getting a egpu is worth it
ОтветитьBruh please get a new mic
ОтветитьI LIKE THIS GUY!!! OHHH MAN
ОтветитьI have the new 2023 Razer blade 14 with a 4070 but I have a rtx 3080 ti collecting dust would this be worth it?
ОтветитьSpend on a microphone first.
ОтветитьBlow you nose
ОтветитьIs there any: M.2 M-key >> Thunderbolt-PORT cable?
Ответить
