What this song reminds me of .An ex that didn't know what simple life ment.

The first time I heard this was in 09. It had bearly been 10 years since I lost my mother. I was 4 when she was killed in a car accident. As I listened to this song, that first time, I felt as if she was trying to tell me something from beyond the grave. At the time, I didn't know what the message was. After I finished high school, I realized that what she wanted was for me to be satisfied.
Now I'm turning 31, and I now I have no memories of her.
