The reason why you can't believe it's a "kids game" it's bcuz it's not a "kids game" it's rated for 15+ years.

Too many children (including early to mid teens) are always found shouting down in mic in supposedly adult over 18 games. Developers know kids and teens under this age watch 18 rated games due to the amount of sexual content they put on them. Over 18s don't need that kind of desperate content 27-4 unless they've locked themselves in a basement. I would rate this game as a 12 or PG at the most. The problem is that parents give kids smartphones. Kids are far too smart, and will wander the internet whilst unattended. Schools (elementary and middle) have been in the media with kids (almost always male) sharing not just violent but full on sexual adult material, so whilst that is a problem in itself, very few are going to be shocked with fortnite. When it comes to the internet, there are zero boundaries, and forcing credit card, passport usage and other forms of id on shady sites is probably never going to happen to limit it
