Anyone else imagine gun fire and planes shooting when they was coming in off the boats, like imagining that’s the last sight most of those men actually seen back then. Literally that exact sight that he was recording is what they seen. Cuz most of them got shot right off the drop of that door man

Crazy both my grandfathers were on Juno beach one fighting for Canada and one for Germany. To say these guys got hammered is a understatement from what my great grandfathers tell me from both sides it was hell

Once i could participate in one of these i would try building weak cheap LVT or a sherman my dad is a great builder so he could help me obviously it would take acurate measurements and use a decent moter from what a UTV i think that might work idk hmm...anyone who know the right moter i should use tell me or just tell the person who actully could do it im unsure i could😅.

One thing you have to take into account was that the soldiers could never look up to the sky with their eyes open because of the non stop dirt and soil falling due to the explosions

He's told me his stories and there is no one I respect more than him. He is one of the last members of a fleeting generation. Thank you for keeping the memory of his and many other's service alive.
