Eastern Germany (including Berlin) was originally slavic. Köpenick (now it is Berlin district) was slavic settlement until XIII century. Now many eastern germans dont know about their slavic blood. Read please about Polabian Slavs. It is sad how world and especially germans forgot about their heritage.

Not really, our annual national revenue (~ $15 trillion) is equal to our entire debt, + most of that debt is domestically owned (like Japan's). China is not powerful b/c its whole population is dirt poor. We're still the world's biggest manufacturer & service provider, by far. Germany's wealthy, but we rake in way more $. And Obama's policies steered us away from Bush's near-great depression (7-800K jobs/month lost) to 100K+ new private sector jobs gained in almost every month of his term
