STORYLINE:
The situation at the Pakistan/Afghan border remains tense, with extra Pakistani forces reported to be taking up positions close to the frontier to ensure it remains secure.
A number of Taliban fighters were seen crossing the border into Pakistan at the Chaman crossing point on Friday.
Much of the Taliban's forces consist of Pakistani youths, responding to the call to fight a holy war against the Taliban's enemies.
The situation in Kandahar remains calm, with no reported fighting.
Asked whether Pakistani Taliban were crossing back into Pakistan because they were giving up, one man said it was propaganda and that they were just returning for a few days rest.
In the last few days, a number of bodies have been brought to the Pakistani border, but not all have been allowed to cross.
At Chaman civilian hospital, a number of injured Afghans continue to be brought in for treatment.
None of those being treated admitted to being Taliban fighters.
One man said he was injured in Herat and that he survived a massacre carried out by Northern Alliance forces, led by the local warlord Ismail Khan.
