My Ma used to kak me out for burning holes in my tops or dresses when ever I welded.

If you want to work on car bodies , get a TIG welder. For heavier and less smooth welds, use a MIG. As you can see in the video, while MIG does work on sheet metal, a lot of cleanup afterwards is required. (TIG also works better on aluminium sheet).
