Don't say "believed" to be the ancestor of mammals. Testing through cladistic analysis indicates that no other tested taxa are closer to the ancestry of mammals.

the record of life is written in the rocks. no place for "advanced" mammals in those times. the scorpion, they say, is the toughest of creatures - having once reached enormous size in the sea, they will survive whilst mammals head for extinction relatively soon.

Such fascinating science. Amazing there can be marine life fossils found on the highest of mountain tops, yet there still are people who think nothing of dismissing them and rather go for a bearded old man who cobbles planets together in just six 24 hour working days....Which is understandable in ancient times when people had a minimum of knowledge about their immediate environment; yet to keep hanging on to these simpleton ideas in these times, is just unbelievable.

Wait this is going backwards, in part 2 it describes earth as dangerous and there was predators and prey.
But now it describes earth as safe. What happened?

In a different video we evolved into a rodent type mammal with thick skin like reptiles. Why didnt we keep our thick skin that protected us from the sun?we shouldn't need to wear spf or hats. I have a problem with evolution. Humans still are not adapted to earth such the weather, for example. People who lived in cold climates dont have extra fat or have fur. All of us have the same bodies, for the most part.
Its like we took a step backwards. Two weird, mammal-like reptiles that sort of looked like scaly rats, each smaller than a loaf of bread, roamed ancient Brazil about 235 million years ago, likely dining on insects the predators snagged with their pointy teeth, a new study finds
The analysis of two newfound species of cynodont, a group that gave rise to all living mammals, sheds light on how mammals developed from these late Triassic creatures.
