I really heavily dought the Spanish accounts of the Conquest of Mexico. They are very biased in their accounts and want nothing more then to justify their soughter and conquest of our ancestors.

Still this is a great video never the less.

Good video, but in such a short time you can't explain a lot of things, like the English defeat on Cartagena, the exploration of the Far West, Alaska and the Pacific Ocean.The Aztecs were cruel, bloodthirsty and cannibalistic, even towards their own people, and it's shameful that books, films and news reports speak well of these cruel savages. It's a good thing the Spanish came along to put a stop to it. Of course, not everything was perfect, but the Spanish created cities, universities and hospitals a hundred years before the other European nations, England, France, Holland, etc. The Indians had rights in the Spanish empire, not with other countries.

Hernan Cortez was not a nobleman but aspired to be one.

Thank you Spain for inquisition and mass genocide of natives all around the world and teaching world how to be state level evil.

it was nice till it lasted and 2' of the oldest and most beautiful cities in america are of Spanish origin and indirectly the Spanish culture is still standing strong and in 2014' they granted all of their old Spanish colonies dual citizenship and that they didn't have to do

Another big difference between the British "empire" and the Spanish empire; The Spaniard creates an international treaty with Portugal respecting each other, in order to legally sail west; the British created the figure of the privateer, who are basically pirates paid by the British crown, to steal the fruit of Spanish labor. You won't see this in any movie either.

For those who enjoy to watch history about Hernán Cortes, I recommend the tv show from 2019, Hernan.

I hate how all this "documentaries" all go from Spain to Mx and forget about the Caribbean and specially of Puerto Rico. The Island who has the Second city created in the America. And the most important fortress of the Spanish America. Which protected the spear, and actually protected the Imperium from being conquered by English, Holland, Portuguese etc. Thats why it was one of the first countries created in the America's and the last one the Spanish fought for, and went to war with. The Morro from Puerto Rico was the only one the Spanish never lost until the new USA Empire. And it's the only island in America where the US wasn't willing to give up. Whenever I, someone who actually live in Spanish American country listen to a complete documentary then I'll take it seriously. The first Black American man in the courts of Spain was Ramon Power Y Giral a Puertorrican. It was Eugenio Maria de Hostos, Juan Emeterio Betances, and other Puertorricans who lead the independence movement all over South America and the Caribbean. Well educated men only failling to find independence for their own country. And that without talking about the importance of the Puertorrican people in the development and participation of the American independence war as they were counted as Spaniards or blacks in the war and later fought in the Spanish American war, in the winning side
