'Caucasian' is in reference to the common historic origins of all the peoples of modern Europe, Caucasus, North africa, Middle east and west asia who are descendants of the Indo-Europeans.

That’s why it’s pretty dumb to still categorize people into „races“, especially in these 5 or so races that Americans try to squeeze them into. Humans biologically have no different races, that’s something that colonizers and oppressors invented so that they can other some people and have a basis for why it’s ok to oppress them. And even if we go with different „races“ - humans are far more diverse than „Black, White, Asian, Latino“. East Asians and South Asians are very different, where do people from arabic countries fit, etc.

Maybe it just stems from me being German, given our history, but whenever someone calls people as being „different races“ it makes me deeply uncomfortable.

I took one of those DNA tests a few years back, and the biggest section of the pie graph was Germany, which i expected, followed by British isles, which i also wasn't surprised by since it fits my last name. The surprise came when the third biggest was Southern Slavic, which i had no knowledge of, but it made sense with my family's appearance

You're mixing apples with oranges. Blumenbach found a perfect white skull in the area populated by Azerbaijani Turks, Karachay Turks, and Balkar Turks, who are Turkic (duh) i.e Scythian descendants, the actual Aryans.
