Can you do a tutorial how to make the cardigan that you are wearing? I want to make the same kind of cardigan but I dont know how to, the armholes part always is the hardest part for me
Ответитьvery clear and helpfull, thank you!
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video, and the others you post. You are definitely becoming my go-to for knitting instructions!! Please keep up the good work!
ОтветитьHi! I love your videos! I was looking at a sweater pattern that only said M1 for the raglan increases. It doesn't specify which ones to use. How do you know which one to do?
ОтветитьHii I know i how to do the M1L or M1R but I can't tell which one is which. How do you distinguish while knitting them? Thanks!
ОтветитьLove this! Your video is easy to understand and follow. I like the way you explain the M1R and M1L. I haven't had a pattern specify, so in general is M1 "technically" an M1R?
Ответитьthank you so much. I am picking up knitting after knitting as a child. Thanks so much. So easy to understand!!
ОтветитьLove your videos--they are my go-to whenever I need to know how to make a particular stitch/CO/BO. I was wondering about that pink cardigan on the dummy behind you in the video. I love it--it's exactly what I'm looking for and if love to knit one up. Any chance you could point me to the pattern for it??
ОтветитьI'm looking for a video to help me FIX a missed M1 . thank you.
Ответитьthank you for these mini lessons. i tried to learn how to knit about 20 yrs ago just by following the instructions in a how-to book, but I stopped because I was really bad at it. I have found that with any kind of crafting, I learn better with visual aid. Hopefully, I'll stick with it and improve as I practice I always had issues with the tension in my work, both with crocheting and knitting. Some of my stitches are really loose and the others are really tight. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it?
ОтветитьThank you 🐨
ОтветитьI think I'm coming up with the same result by picking the bar up with my left needle so I don't have to transfer it from the right to the left. (being left-handed, that is more natural for me). For M1 right, I use my left needle to pick up the bar from the back, then knit . For M1 left, I pick up the stitch from the front with my left needle and knit through the back. Does that sound right?
ОтветитьMy pattern calls for a slip first Stitch and then M1, yo, k1 then continue with fishnet Stitch. Won’t this increase Stitch count by 2?
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьStaci, I was wondering instead of transferring the stitch from the right to the left needle, why isn't the stitch just picked up with the left needle from front to back, then isn't it ready to knit from there? Thanks.
ОтветитьI watched you again and think I answered myself. If I pick up with my left needle from front to back then knit it, it would be like knitting a yarn over, which would leave a bigger hole. However, I could still avoid the transfer by picking up the bar from back to front then it would knit like yours, giving that little twist to make it look more "real". Thanks for your big yarn. It is easy to see.
ОтветитьWould you please do a video tutorial on how to correct a make one right, e.g. I’ve done a make one left instead of a make one right. I need to know how to make this correction when I discover this mistake after knitting a few rows. And vice versa. Love your idea tutorials.
ОтветитьThank you so much Staci! You have helped more than you'll ever truly know. I've been battling cancer and over illnesses over the last 9 years and knitting and other maker-ly things have gotten me through some extremely hellish times. I would not have been able to make many of the things I've loved without your help. So know what you have done by taking the time to share your love and knowledge with us really means something and is valuable. God Bless you as you have blessed all of us! 💚🙏🏻
ОтветитьLove your tutorials. Brisk and to the point. So easy to watch and easy to learn from. Thanks.
ОтветитьThank you! straight to the point, perfectly explained. :)
ОтветитьThis was easy to follow - thank you very much
ОтветитьVery helpful,thank you☺️
ОтветитьLove your tutorials! Easy to watch and follow along. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьThank you Staci, I've been knitting for 70 years and didn't know many of your stitches, including these. I never have trouble seeing what you are doing by just watching on full screen, and repeat if necessary (or forgotten!)
ОтветитьThank you. I was doing it all wrong.
ОтветитьYour videos are so helpful, thank you for sharing. I have a question in regards to M1, if the pattern does not specify whether to Right Lean or Left Lean a M1, in that it just says M1, which one is default, M1L or M1R?
Ответитьthis the best of the M1's
ОтветитьThank you so much for this short and helpful video. I was creating holes in my knitting and you helped me fix that.
ОтветитьThank so much this is very clear for me, but in my pattern I have 15 sts and show me K1, (M1,K1) to end - 29 sts...I do not really understand how I can get 29 sts? Can you help me please? thank you so much.
ОтветитьI taught myself how to knit from a book around 40 yrs ago. Now that I watch your videos I see I’m making many mistakes. I’m knitting a baby sweater from top down ( new for me) and the pattern calls for M1 K1. Does that mean I increase 1 stitch and knit the increased stitch or do I make the stitch knit it and knit another regular stitch as well? How I wish there were iPads 40 yrs. ago. Your videos are wonderful.
ОтветитьI just “discoverd” you. You are a very good teacher. Very clear explanations Thank you from Switzerland
ОтветитьYou are the very best knitting instructor ever! So helpful and clear, perfectly explained and demonstrated - I love all your Slow Motion videos and all your regular speed videos - whenever I need assistance I only look at yours now for everything! Thank you SO MUCH!! Ann from UK!
Ответитьexcellent thank you
ОтветитьThank You!
ОтветитьDK in the knitting pattern
ОтветитьYou're the best!
ОтветитьO
ОтветитьI'm ecstatic that I found you again!! You are the best for clear explanations!! I have learning disabilities and struggle with instructions, so finding your site has been fantastic!! Thank so very much for your tutorials!!
ОтветитьNice video, but it needs to be closer up. Couldn't see what you were doing.
ОтветитьThank you..I appreciate all the information and instructions that you provide.
I only wish my fingers would " flick" the way yours do. Thank you again, I am a better knitter in gratitude to you...💛
This is such a tricky one for me so I appreciate the nice clear instructions. I’ve come to depend on your channel for that also I always recommend your videos to new knitters
ОтветитьStaci, these videos are great example of the benefits to the new Knitter's Pride Day & Nite needle set! I just watched your review of them this morning, then tonight came here for a refresher on the m1R/m1L. As I was staring closely at screen to see which way you were picking up the bar, I instantly wished you had your black/birch needles to turn and let the pink yarn show up better. Thanks for all your tutorials. Even though I have been knitting over 60 years, I need sometimes to refresh my techniques memories. 👍👍🌺🌺
ОтветитьThank you so much! Straight to the point. Much appreciated.
Ответитьyou are a very good teacher. I struggled with this stitch FOR YEARS.
ОтветитьI am working on a shawl and for the life of me, could not figure out why I was getting a hole. Thank you for clarifying.
😊
m1 and m1r and m1l what different with 3 of them ?
