Id go for Barbatos and Banshee
Barbatos is just a very great kit with a good amount of accessories, great articulation and a kick ass design
While Banshee may not have articulation as good as other Master Grades its one of the kits that are more model than toy and looks so awesome imo

Im down to whatever gundam that got 1-1-3 fingers like astray or amazing red warrior or fully functioning fingers 3.0

I've built the Hyaku Shiki and the Barbatos; Shiki is good but the paint scratches super easily, and the Barbatos is pretty good.

Hey, I am super new to the hobby and have noticed you and a lot of other people constantly mention the version of a kit 1.0 - 2.0 and 3.0 . I’ve notice some of the boxes actually state which version they are but some don’t? I was wondering if there is a way to tell which version a kit is?

That Zaku II Master Grade is one i have my eye on.I love the Zaku Ii and would like to eventually have one in every available grade. I already have one in SD and one in Real Grade

I nearly picked up an Rx-78-2 1.3 Master Grade today, then I watched a vid while looking and, well, I ended up choosing an RG Zeong instead. The Core Fighter was a big reason I almost got that one but seeing how limited its articulation was made me changed my mind. Maybe I'll pick up the Origin one when I can. That core block extra is attractive though

You somehow missed the fact that MG 3.0 is literally the 1/100 scale version of the Real Grade 1/144 as well as the 1:1 Gundam Statue, so the sheer amount of details it had was because it was designed based on how it would look in real life, which is what they did with the 1:1 Statue before it was taken down and replaced by the Unicorn.

I agree with the one son this list, for sure, but I would add the MG RX-79[G] Gundam Ground Type. It's old, and a little clunky, with less pose power than a modern MG - granted, it came out in 2000. But there's something just so undeniably charming about the Ground Type. You can knock it out in a few hours, you can store all the weapons on the model, and it looks a treat stanced up on the shelf.

That's weird, MG Nu Gundam ver Ka is not on your list 😅That kit is like a poor man's PG kit.

As a freedom 2.0 owner i agree that the hip section of it is really weak and the leg of thr freedom does not help at all since mine just falled off

The MG. Wing Zero EW Ver. Ka is maybe my favorite kit, just looks so majestic

Rx-78-2 ver. 3.0 mg was my first master grade.

Even though it’s a very common build for more advanced MG builders, would recommend the RX-0 Unicorn for those who want to go for a bit of a longer build. As for my pick for beginners into the MG build, I would say Gundam Deathscythe Hell

Death Skythe and Shen Long from the Endless Waltz storyline, and an O.G in my opinion, God Gundam

My first MG was Origin RX-78. Safe to say one of the best gunpla I ever built

The Ball is the move, I have the MG VerKa, and the Clear VerKa, clear it's just want the inner frames and details painted

I know its an older kit now but mg deathscythe was my first kit and it just look so good on the shelf with the wings up swinging the scythe, deff reccomend one for anyone that hasnt built one

MG barbie was my first MG!

Mg sazabi ver ka is a must build out of all the MG.
I have been building gunpla since 1997 when first mg came out. I still remember buying each MG as it released.

Actually thinking about it, MG zeong or perfect zeong is so much fun to build, different to other MG and it has layers of details.

I've now built three of the kits on this list, being the Barbatos, Buster, and Freedom, and I thoroughly enjoy building all of them

Is the RX-78-2 Ver. 1.5 Gundam a good starter for master grade

I've only got 2 MG atm, Exia and dynames. I've preordered the MG barbatos because I've heard such good things about it. (waiting for the FM 1/100 barbatos lupis rex to get restocked) As for the OO gundams I would highly recommend dynames for beginners and seasoned builders. on the other side MG exia is a nightmare. it did take 3 less hours than dynames but the parts where a pain. (Exia 2.0 when!?) Gundam OO holds a special place so I will update this after I get virtue and kyrios.

Really love the MG EX-S. I don't think it's at the top but the kit just has such an extreme presence and aside from the large amount of screws used, it feels like an MG from the current year despite the age.

I haven't built any kits in a few years up until a few days ago. Since then I've built the ball, and the ball with spider legs and I'm currently working on heavy arms before getting into the IBO kits. I bought like 20 kits a couple years ago when my mom and brother passed, built a few and put them down. Just now getting back into it and even though I still have 15 more kits to build I already want more lol

Some of those MG arent even MG. They're rather cheaply made and not that great in terms of details.

I guess I'm lucky in that I never actually got into the anime when I was younger so I just build what looks cool to me. I know it sounds bad but then it doesn't annoy me when things aren't exactly like the show.

Disagree. I will skip the 3.0 completely, it's too flimsy. The top 2 MG RX-78-2 are the version 2.0 (for the original anime accuracy) and The Origins (for the modern look).

My first mg was banshee and other than the tight transformation in the upper chest I like the kit (i sanded down the pegs and it make WAY easier)
