ОтветитьHi Jeni. I have always been nervous about yeast bread. These rolls look so wonderful. I plan to try them. Your mash potatoes are they stiff or creamy.

ОтветитьI made this as you can see by my previous post. Now I have a question. I still have a little mashed potatoes for another batch but I don’t need more rolls right now. If I make this, up to the shaping of the rolls, can they be frozen before raising? Then once frozen, let it come to room temperature when I want another batch, allowing for raising in the balls form, then bake. Or would it be better to just freeze the dough in a giant ball, defrosting, raising, shaping, raise again, then bake???

My mashed potatoes are always fully loaded (butter, cream cheese, heavy whipping cream, chopped onions and garlic). When you said, don’t use your mashed potatoes if they have a lot of stuff…well, I thought I’d try it anyway. I don’t even peel my potatoes for mash potatoes. I didn’t have powdered milk open but I did use powdered heavy cream and duck eggs instead of chicken. This came out AMAZING 🤩! I measured my dough in two ounce portions. I got 21 rolls. Thank you for sharing. We’re on keto but I had leftover mash potatoes from the holidays. Now I’m trying to find an excuse to make more mashed potato. 🤦🏻♀️ I was smart enough to give half to my neighbors. Otherwise I would have eaten them ALL. ♥️

Good evening to you I just watched your video and all my word those looks so good I'm going to have to try them but I have a question afterwards...
I don't make bread I don't make dinner rolls because I could never do the needing correctly, the last loaf of bread I made was in 1984.85 I was at my fiance's home and we made bread or I should say I made bread unfortunately we couldn't eat it but fortunately my soon to be husband use it for an anchor out in our lake and it worked really well for a while until it broke the chain it's at the bottom of the lake now so I've never tried to make again ever...lol hey if I know something about myself I'm not going to do it again but now you've given me kind of confidence to attempt to make this dinner rolls actually I think I'd like to make it as a loaf of bread in a round stainless steel bowl like my mom used to make some breads then you just rip in it and just slather it with butter.... Something we all do not need...
So since I have trouble because I don't have anybody to go to my Hands-On person to learn how to do Brad need bread make bread is a bread machine like your KitchenAid there to mix everything together I see you use it a lot so give me your thoughts on it if you would please because I'm thinking about investing in something like that I'm also going to get a bread machine so I can just pop it in and let it make gloves of bread but I want to be able to make this kind of dinner rolls...
So I thank you very much for answering my question because there's something I need to know now so you know I feel kind of stupid doing this but you know you never too old to learn I'm 68 and I'm doing the canning for me in case something happens thank you all very much I appreciate it and I love everybody here everybody that's participating in the Canuary... And all of these canning, dehydrating, preparing, channels...❤️❤️❤️❤️💋

ОтветитьKnock, knock, let me in, extra butter on mine please. Those look delicious, went and copied the recipe, will make this weekend for Sunday dinner. That is a fine looking roll. You would think with the holidays over we would be cooking less but I seem to be cooking more, made pastrami cause I was craving it (and refuse to pay the prices at the deli, so cheap to make your own), and a marble rye cause I am trying to use what I have on hand, now I have to go slice the pastrami but I will be thinking about how I can't wait to make those rolls. Great demonstration, drool, drool.

ОтветитьI know what I will be doing with my leftover mashed potatoes. I can freeze them in 1 cup measurements. This way the leftovers won't go to waste and will be turned into some lusciousness!!
