This guy is talking 100% crap some of the best films ever made have been made using shit camera's and some of the worst films ever made have been filmed using RED also regarding those "special features" in post, they are simply showing somebody editing RAW footage that could have been captured on any half decent SLR with the same lenses i doubt any viewer would even know what camera body captured it if you showed RED RAW and CANON RAW footage shot with the same lens would anyone know the difference ?

Jesus Christ man, why are all these Red Cinema videos filmed in annoying garbage letterboxed format?
I have a widescreen TV and phone.
Why do I need to be forced to see black bars at the top and bottom of the image and suffer from reduced screen space?
Some fool's attempt at making the production look more "cinematic"? 🙄
The letterbox look was for the old days of 4:3 standard aspect ratio TV users who needed to be fooled into thinking they were watching a widescreen image.

The trend stuck and now every jerkoff recording commercials, short films and documentaries with a Red camera adds black bars at the top and bottom of the screen in a weak attempt to produce "cinematic" video.

Gabrage. I refuse to watch this.
