Jonesy's the daddy!
ОтветитьIts funny cuz you watch all the vids of people playing these songs on guitar, and none of them play it like Steve, the chorus on No Feelings for example.
ОтветитьGreen day took influence from New York 😮
ОтветитьHis guitar playing has improved, since the Pistols hey-day...
Ответитьhahaha i have a horrible case of adhd and i might never have learned guitar if not for some homemade speed back in the day. not a long term thing, just a handful of 12 hour intensely focused practice sessions really opened the guitar up for me
ОтветитьI was 12 when I bought never mind the bollocks n still play it in my car on way to work , road rage !! Get out the f…… way div
ОтветитьMalcolm mclaran , lol a band that can’t play ?? Wtf
ОтветитьIs that a Burny guitar?
ОтветитьA guitarist said to me that many people play well. The skill is working out which chords go with which to make something catchy. Steve Jones clearly had the latter skill.
Ответитьis this the very guitar?
ОтветитьThe Sex Pistols are such an anomaly. A manufactured boy band, of working class kids, that made one album but got paid for it three times. Probably the first and only time a music act got the better of the industry.
ОтветитьStraight from lock stock this fella. ❤
ОтветитьBurney guitar. Sadly some cunt nicked his Sylvain Sylvain LP Custom - karma given Malcolm nicked from SS. Steve's used Gibsons and Burney's for decades now - Gibson putting out a limited edition. The bloke is a genuine icon. One record changed music forever.
ОтветитьWithout Jones, there would not have been the Sex Pistols. He, and the drummer, were the only real musicians in the band. He carried all the guitar and bass parts. Johnny Rotten should bless the day he met this guy.
ОтветитьMaynard James Keenan from Took copied Rotten's hunchback twisted position.
ОтветитьWhat guitar is that? Cool tone also
ОтветитьFor those that are trying to learn some of their stuff from this video be sure to tune your guitar a half step down (Eb).
ОтветитьGuitar tone for days.
ОтветитьSome people
ОтветитьOne 33 minute album and the man is still relevant, hes not jimi Hendrix, but hes got his own unique sound. One of the most influential guitarists ever !!!!!
ОтветитьWhat guitars were used for ‘Never Mind The Bollocks’, a Gibson Les Paul straight into a Marshall ?
ОтветитьI would like to have a few pints with Steve, seems like a good bloke.
ОтветитьVery, very effective simplicity. Genius of simplicity, indeed. That really was the sound of the Pistols. Totally unmistakeable. Incredibly catchy.
ОтветитьWhat guitar is that he's playing ? I believe he mainly played Les Paul Customs back in the day .. but that doesn't look like Gibson written on the headstock. Ibanez, perhaps ? Any ideas ?
ОтветитьBehold the awesome power of Steve Jones. Steve’s stuff is the roughest, toughest most brutal most iconic punk ever created. I never get tired of it.
ОтветитьA cracking underrated guitarist
ОтветитьJonesys guitar sound is immense 👍 never gets the credit he deserves
Ответить' I really didn't know how to play!". LoL says the guy who wrote and played guitar and bass on one of the most influential albums ever written ...I bought nmtb when I was 12.. I'm 55 now..I still feel the same way as when I first opened the album and put in on my turntable......llol😂 cheers from Vancouver BC Canada 👍
ОтветитьI want to know who's Steve's dentist, because I like his new set of teeth!
Incredible work done.. apart from that I love these videos, brilliant tone on that Gibson. good riffs!
Fantastic
ОтветитьУважуха Стиву, что его гитара всегда отстроена и настроена. Лоза подтвердит.
ОтветитьNice reproduction of his original, stolen Gibson Custom.
ОтветитьLove buddy holy xx
ОтветитьSo happy to hear and see this!
ОтветитьWish this segment was longer
ОтветитьAnyone know what Marshall that is in the background?
ОтветитьAs i was trying to say Jones is just a no frills guitarist...didn't know much but what he knew was perfect.
ОтветитьTotal No-Nonsence guitarist that defined Punk Rock. I learnt guitar from listening to the Sex Pistols, Steve is a Guitar Legend that defined the Sex Pistols, and also made the White Gibson Les Paul an Icon of Punk Rock~~~Respect!
ОтветитьTalented guy
ОтветитьGive me Steve Jones’ tone, attack and expression over a thousand shredders.
ОтветитьThe gain on his amp ain’t even whacked up it’s such a nice tone
ОтветитьWatched this Vid so many times. Fantastic riffs. We play some in our band.
ОтветитьWow , reading the comments is entertaining, matlock was replaced because Johnny felt outnumbered, he didn't care for matlock anyways. Steve Jones played guitar and bass on most of the album, he and Paul cook were the music. There is a video with the studio engineer who breaks down the master recordings.
ОтветитьWhat a character...
ОтветитьLove how he plays. Some of those little solos he'd throw in were f@cking brilliant.
ROSmth"s Joe Perry is a huge fan of Jones.
Legend. He’s my inspiration to playing the guitar. And thats the OG Les Paul guitar
ОтветитьJonesy was a natural he just had a gift
ОтветитьHe never sounds like the record.
ОтветитьThat things tuned down a full step
