Getting a good fitting pair of jeans can be troublesome for someone, like myself, who has been stricken with a bad case of "gone-ass disease," but I find that Levi 527s will likely fit us best.

I think one of the battles of well-fitting jeans, especially in classic denims, is that we're applying the fit and movement expectations of a wool or cotton smart-casual trouser to a fabric weight and seam construction which was never originally intended to fit that way. It's a case of "style" and "fit" becoming conflated on a garment type that wasn't historically originally designed to fit, fall, or move in the same way as we now want it to.

The problem I have is I have big thighs and a big ass but I’m only 5’10 with a longer torso so I shave to get 38 inch waist for my legs then wear a belt because the waist is too big. And I can’t find jeans that fit my legs that don’t stay wide around the ankles.

I call b.s. on these tips simply because he already got a booty that can make a paper bag accent both booty cheeks. Unfair but I thank you anyway for giving a high rise to self esteems of all of us who don't yet have a booty and can't accent a bulge in front without giggling like a child😊 . I always have a problem with pretty much every pair of pants I've ever worn where they always fall down and are too tight. Like usually I have to hold the belts loop on the back of my pants when crouching and it falls to over half of my butt, this also happens with shorts and I don't know why.
My main theories are that I have giant thighs and I'm 6'2 which means my legs are really long. I've noticed that on pants they get extreamly tight on my knees when crouching down and my outer thigh is really tight too. I usually try to get relaxed and stretch fit pants because all of the others ones don't fit and even with the tapered ones I like them but they taper too early on my leg, constricting the knees. For my clothes I've been getting a size 46x30. 46 is too loose but fits my thighs much better (and I've never seen a 48 in a store before) and 44 seems to be good on my waste but almost impossible to fit on my thighs. I've noticed even with large draw string shorts I still need to hold the back from falling down sometimes even when fitting the string to my waist.
If you could help me out you'd literally be saving me from something I've been struggling with for almost my whole life.

Just a question, do you alter the inseam immediately after purchasing it or washing the jeans first time and then alter it?

Read it online most jeans shrink about 1 inch so I'm afraid if alter the right size it will shrink and spoil the length of the inseam.

Am confused on my waist size in jeans. I measured my waist at 35 1/2, but when i buy a travel Jean from banana republic at 35W it’s way too big. 34W a bit loose but doesn’t fall. 33W is snugged on the waist but it slightly pitches when I sit down. Do I need to get use to the Jean wearing a 33W and loosen it by wearing it more or should I just stick with 34W??

Standard length of Jeans are 30, 32 & 34 length. At length 30 it's *already proper length for people that are 5'8"-5'10. Issue is there are still PLENTY of Men out and about that are not as tall as 5'8"-5'10". So guys that are 5'4"-5'8" will have to have some "Stack" at bottom of Jeans. [Whats a better solutions??? Companies selling 27"-28" length Jeans also.]
