Every time I watch this I wonder why they all didn’t fire that aggressively the whole time instead of flying in circles around it haha

Beyond Picard having his connection to and knowledge of Borg, it's a massive plot hole for Starfleet to have not simply already focus their attacks instead of randomly shooting a different places on the cube. A concentrated in focus attack would have done far greater damage and it shouldn't have required Picard to say something. It's tactics 101 especially against an enemy many times larger than you are.

I could almost feel Picard getting sick to his stomach with him knowing exactly what the Borg were capable of doing….and knowing the fleet was doomed if he didn’t take action.

I can only imagine how this movie would have been just a bit better, and that was to have The Enterprise D doing these scenes, and not the E. The E is OK, but for pure Star Trek, nothing beats the classic refit Enterprise or Enterprise D! Best Federation Starships to bear the name, ENTERPRISE!

I find it interesting that starfleet is able to puncture the cube where there are NO vital systems since the borg likely aren't expecting them to hit a non vital area and hope for secondary explosions, meaning it has less armor.

I never know Neal McDonough was in Star Trek. Man has like 100+ movie & tv credits, a lot in sci-fi stuff like the Resident Evil franchise, the 100, Marvel universe, and the cult classic Timeline, but I never knew Star Trek was another feather in his cap.

The hilarious thing is the Borg said "Resistance is Futile" then flew through the defense fleet because they didn't fancy a standing fight.

Given that this took place around the time when the Dominion war was just around the corner, it's a good thing the Defiant wasn't destroyed, DS9 would have been very vulnerable without it. Nice of Sisko to loan the ship to Worf and take it back to defend Earth, and a chance to meet his old crew at the same time.
