I don't know a lot about making knives, but working with a charcoal forge really impressed me, as did the minimal antiquated equipment. At a time when automated machines are the norm, it's good to see a craftsman make very nice things by hand. 👍

Definite L on the welded handle. That bottom 1/4 of material could have been knotched in and drawn out for a tang.

Impressive skills! However, I think the old switcheroo might have been pulled here...It went from a failed canister weld to a super crispy button of razor blades where half of it was burnt. Then, POOF! A nice white hot bar of perfect steel, which somehow, grew in size and amount of metal. Entertaining none the less.

you had a tang on it, but cut it off, only to weld another on, can i ask why?? great knife by the way, just wondering

If you want to make a very special sword, I can tell you the basic method. You have to fold the iron 114 times over and over again and then you can make the shape you want. If you want to cool the iron, you have to use Zamzam water, not river water remember this method is only basic While the special method is complete, I will tell you if you can make the basic one
