Beautiful plates! I have a ? about the glazing process...what do you mix to create the glaze? How do you incorporate a color into it?
ОтветитьWhy didnt you glaze the back? How does that finish feel after the firing?
ОтветитьBonjour Mia.
ОтветитьThanks so much. Very informative!
ОтветитьHi, is it ok not to glaze the backs?
ОтветитьInteresting use of the bag of rice. I thought you were going to make use of it’s properties as a desiccant. I have an old sock filled with sand but I may make another with rice. Nice work and thanks!
ОтветитьPeace Mia, at what point do you put the mark on the plate? When you do the first dry or when it is leather hard?
ОтветитьLove these!
ОтветитьEsse esmalte já vem preparado ??
ОтветитьThank you I love this video is very informative. I am in the process of making plates to thank you. I have a question though. Where did you get your rolling pin? I’ve been looking for a large rolling pin for a while.
ОтветитьWhat type & weight of canvas is best for wedging clay on? Can it be used & covering Hardie backer board? I haven’t got to the plaster board yet; hwr, I know I’ll need a way to slow & speed up the drying without being over saturated or drying to fast. I live in southeastern USA. We generally have mildish winters. The summers, not so much. We get high humidity & high heat temperatures here. My husband moved some things around, which has allowed for me to use half the barn space plus shelves. My pottery wheel (25+/-yr old Shimpo RK Whisper) is out of mothballs again! I’m hoping to find some way to build a table around it. We will need to get another wheel if he stays with it. He’s getting pretty good at centering clay, though I think the engineer in him would do extremely well slab building. 🤞🏼
Any assistance is welcomed. I’m currently wedging clay on a Hardie backer board edged with painters tape.
very helpful, thank you!
ОтветитьNice video
ОтветитьMay I ask NABERTHERM TOP LOADING KILN TOP45L is enough for a small studio’s workshop?
ОтветитьPlease write me the material you made
ОтветитьIs this still technique still an option if the plate has a foot?
ОтветитьCan I ask how you get the glaze to look imperfect and lighter in some areas? Can I get this affect with brushable glazes? 😊
ОтветитьMug version of it would be great toooo❤️❤️
ОтветитьLooks fantastic. Wanna try it in the next days :)
ОтветитьWhere can I get one of those lazy Susan's!!?? Love this!!
Ответить100% one of the biggest parts of the process is recycling and reusing. Looking for ideas without any limitation on where they come from. I cannot recommend thrift stores enough.
ОтветитьExcellent. I have some old plates I like that I could this with. Im going to try my home made clay with this technique too just for fun. I like the idea of slab ware.
ОтветитьWho makes the rolling pin you're using?
ОтветитьWieder mal ein toller Beitrag von dir👌🏻… ich mag deine Teller die du gemacht hast… die Glasur find ich super. Kannst du mir sagen welche Glasur das ist ?
ОтветитьMy little brother just recently moved into his first flat and I helped him to search for the perfect plates EVERYWHERE. Couldn’t find what he was looking for. I joked about showing him how to make plates himself and now I’ll send this tutorial to him. Maybe I’ll even create a set for him for Christmas haha. Love how unique every piece is! 😊
