This would have been better as an accessory that ran off your phone. A Simple pin with a camera and a microphone that's just an extension for your phone probably would've been much more successful.
ОтветитьWelp, the ai pin fell into the chasm and now shutting down and turned up profit and sold to HP’s ai division.
ОтветитьRIP and good riddance. This thing was obsolete since minute negative ten months. A smartphone literally everyone already has plus ray ban meta did the job better with literally no monthly fee.
ОтветитьThey are selling the company to HP for $117 million and discontinuing the product altogether. 😢
ОтветитьUpdate
They are selling the company to HP for $117 million and discontinuing the product altogether. 😢
Watching this after the ai pin got discontinued
ОтветитьLong time watcher, first time commenting. Thought you'd like to know these are being bricked in a little over a week after being bought out; I never would have known they existed except for this video.
ОтветитьBreaking news: humane sold off and all existing ai pin slowly turn into paperweight
ОтветитьSo it turns out the AI pin was a scam, the company has been sold to HP and the AI pin is no more.
ОтветитьSomething like this will succeed when:
It will cost no more than $250 (preferably $100)
It has better battery life
It pairs with your phone
It has a more powerful AI
It has no subscription
In other words, never.
Really cool device.
ОтветитьOne of my favorite things about tech bros/boomers is they will preach smart phone bad then drop money on a even worse smartphone and act like thereso much morally superior
Ответитьlol it took me a min but I figured it out Ken lost a bunch of money on this lame device that already exists in several better forms . lol so he sad lmao
ОтветитьSo it’s just mobile Alexa with a camera and a laser but a huge phone bill
ОтветитьCrazy ken took drugs before this video. He is so high he doesn’t even know what an apple is . He has been delving into “drugs” like melatonin and aspirin .
ОтветитьIt’s a bummer, this compared to the rabbit is pretty stark. Maybe it will progress in the future, it looks like it could be cool someday.
Ответитьany updates on the pin, wondering if updates improved it and you are liking the device :)
ОтветитьI'm glad Apple got rid of him he really thought he can outdo them with that garbage product
ОтветитьWhen they get something like this right 👍▶️, I am SO ON IT! It's the computer on star Trek, when they get it right 👍▶️!
ОтветитьThis is definitely a 1st to be 2nd type thing!
ОтветитьIf this had been a thing in say 2005, before the Iphone released it might've seen some use
Ответитьthe fact that you have to talk out loud to use this should have immediately told absolutely everyone involved that it would be a failure... when was the last time you actually saw someone using siri??... unless it was at home and it was alexa...
it's like tech entrepreneurs never take into consideration the optics of their product... like google glass sure it's a cool idea but no one's gunna wear that or god forbid use it in public. ppl don't wanna look stupid and yelling at your pin in the supermarket about wether or not you can drink milk makes you look stupid....
Privacy can be tossed completely with this device
ОтветитьThe PIN is ahead of it'd time. The technology isn't there yet. There is technology in the invention phase that will reduce energy consumption by 100x and memory increase of 100x but that is 10 to 20 years away from fruition.
ОтветитьI can see the potential, but the execution is far from where it should be. The technology just isn't there yet. In 20 years, AI will probably exist in a format like this.
Ответить"We made a lot of mistakes, after all, we are human_e."
ОтветитьThey did not take into account the person's hand may be occupied? That it is useless in sunlight? A new phone number? Awkward finger inputs? Shitty speaker? Stunningly insipid. Utterly useless.
ОтветитьFor star fleet use ?
ОтветитьThe logo and design is such an Apple rip off.
ОтветитьThey're a cute couple but they really overestimated a wearable. If smart watches weren't able to knock the cell phone out of its place why did they think a pin would be able to? Especially one with less usability than a smartwatch?
ОтветитьThese folks came from Apple, of course battery life sucks
Ответитьi think the name "humane" and an ai device that looks at everything you does and tries to fit in to it. iiiissss a weird combo
ОтветитьThis is CIRCLET the bracelet all over again
Someone call Captain Disillusion!
Imran? Sounds like ENRON
ОтветитьGreat video, very interesting as usual
ОтветитьThis seems like a cool idea that was rushed.
ОтветитьTaking his shares really was a we-we move as you've said. I understand talking to the guy, asking for an explanation for the cryptic email. However, canning him and taking his shares feels like they wanted to hurt him financially as much as possible so he couldn't leave Apple and go make something of his own like this thing. Yeah, it didn't work, but I bet having the money from those shares would have helped just a little.
ОтветитьIN hindsight, the claims of scam are clearly correct.
ОтветитьBest review on this thing
Ответитьthis should have been designed as an accessory for a cellphone, connected via bluetooth. it could have integrated with any of the existing AI offers from the various companies. while also offering its own 3rd party AI for both the phone itself and accessible from the accessory. They got greedy and bit off too much.
ОтветитьI've never seen such a Apple fan Man as This Man Channel 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿🙄😒😏😒🙄😒
😅🤣😂🤣😅🤣😂🙂😁😁😄😄

The problem is that smartphones have an overwhelming market dominance. If you don’t like what Google and Apple are doing, like introducing Passkeys, then you’re simply out of luck. This business belongs to two companies, it’s everywhere, and it’s worth billions of dollars.
Now, of course, everyone is shouting, “Why don’t they just release the PIN as an app?” The answer is: because they want to position themselves beside smartphones, not hop onto the cash train as another bandwagoner.
The product is, of course, total nonsense. When it was first announced, I thought, “They can’t seriously mean that.” But at least they had the guts to try it, something practically everyone else fails to do.
The reality is this: if you want to produce a mobile device, you need permission from King Google. If they won’t let you into their app store, you might as well throw your plans straight in the trash. Some of the biggest tech companies in the world have already learned that lesson (Microsoft, Nokia, and Huawei).
The folks at Hu.man.e at least tried to break this monopoly and position themselves as a third option in the market—a platform that could compete with Apple and Google.
And they failed. They went down in flames.
Too bad. But I fear we’ll still be using some version of the iPhone 93 or Galaxy 110 in 100 years, holding 2 petaflops of power and 150 GB of RAM just for Tinder and WhatsApp.
I think they would have made it if they would have made that pin compatible with different carriers so that different carriers are able to add it to a data plan on somebody's account like adding a smartwatch to their phone line I think that might have worked?.. but no way would I invest that much money into a piece of tech just to turn around and have to pay a monthly subscription fee I'll just stick with my phone witch has a Screen 😮
