DJI Mini 3 Pro Firmware Update - NEW Features & Tripod Mode

Bought the DJI Mini 3 Pro a week ago, and the 2 year refresh... Ultimately I want to fly it with FPV goggles without the use of the motion controller. I don't think it would feel as natural as dual stick remotes. Being very familiar with Xbox controllers, I wish there was a way to fly a drone with one even if it meant routing it through the RC Pro controller somehow.

Something you might know. I’ve noticed that unlocking geozones is different with mini 3 pro and controller compared to mini 2 and iphone as controller. I connect to wifi but I cannot unlock or connect to unlock. Amd I know wifi is on. I use to get a code sent right to my phone. What am I missing. Very frustrating.

Very good, very helpful. Went and bought one after this vid. When I went to charge the new longer life batteries, it took 12 hours to charge all three. Is that normal? Many thanks!

OK, so once you set the max horizontal and vertical speeds when you do any of the quickshots will they be done at those speeds or does it default to original settings?

Quick question. I just received my Mini 3 Pro last night. This morning it's fully charged and I'm updating the firmware. Do I need to update each individually or will all previous updates be included in the latest firmware?

I keep getting server error code... won't update. App version is 1.9.9 / Aircraft firmware is 01.00.0450 / Rc firmware is 01.02.0600

I don't get it ?why is everyone raving on about this update like it best thing since sliced bread? There other things more better dji can do

Time for an "Addendum Video" -DJI Pulled V01.02.0500 for the RC, and V1.9.8 Fly App, replacing them with V01.02.0600 on RC (RM330) and DJI Fly V01.9.9 - not telling anyone they pulled it, even DJI Support who they left in the dark. So, after rolling back to V01.02.0300, then forward to .0400, via WiFi, DJI Assistant, A Hotspot, wiping the RC Multiple times, only the RC Pro worked with new Gain/Expo up to now.

In flight, Mavic 3 is substantially more stable in slow flight, holding position, less drift in a bit of wind, and BRAKING reduced by up to a factor truly tames the beast! Mini 3 ro is less precise, positionally, but still benefits from this.

Installed the update here in Australia and there was minimal change, have just retried and I now have DJI RC FirmwareV01.02.0600 loading as I type.............something obviously happened to the earlier v01.02.0500.........the file size is 871.33MB

Where is the firmware for the rc controller? My rc says it's up to date on the V01.02.0400. I thought maybe the new rc firware is only avalible through the DJI assistant 2. But no. The lastest firmware on there is also V01.02.0400. Where did you get this version V01.02.0500? Is not updating on the RC controller and not avalivible throught the DJI assistant 2?

Can you tell me does one have to do the updates with each battery every time? I saw on another channel that that is required so I tried with the last update and it worked or at least I had to go through the same procedure with each one. I had never heard of or seen anything about this before

I posted how to update to 1.9.8 on the RC pro, but my comment keeps vanishing. I'm seeing 1.9.9 in few places but not on DJI site yet. I suspect there are bugs in 1.9.8 which is why many of you can't update... they might have pulled it.
The 1.9.9 notes read in part "Fixed issue: "Weak signal. Adjust antennas" pop-up message did not disappear automatically when using Mavic Mini."
Also seeing reports of the Air2s not working the 1.9.8 at all.

What about tripod mode?

I just ran this update and it didn't change squat on my son's drone. Not happy about it

Hi Sean. Help! I updated the firmware but the DJI app version didn't update to 1.9.8 . It's still at 1.9.4. How to I get the DJI app to update? I'm confused as I thought it would update automatically. Am I missing something? Or is it because I'm in Canada? Thanks.

As mentioned by others I tried to update but the new settings don’t appear. The aircraft firmware was updated but not the RC or Fly app. When I try to update again it says firmware is up to date. ??

Hi , I updated to new version (01.00.0500 ) but nothing changed in the settings. There are no 'reset all settings' or 'clear all data' options , or break sensitivity etc. Do you have any idea why ? Fly app is still 1.9.4 not 1.9.8

Hi I downloaded the app for mini 3 pro at the end it said if he drone shuts down to restart did that now my air craft firmware is up to date 01.00.0500 RC firmware 01.02.0400 but when I go to use the app it still shows % not speed mph is my RC heading update any thoughts ? Billy

This was the reason my Mavic 2 Zoom started gathering dust after buying myself the Anafi back then. The Anafi had those setting where you could set horizontal/vertical speed characteristics individually for each flght mode...

Pretty awesome. But sadly I can't even play by my house anymore with the new maps are annoying as now most city's have restricted zones..... And I can't fly around.

And still no waypoint mode 🙄😒

New features are easily lost unless getting a tip.

Good information, I have some homework to do since they have updated almost everything. To keep from getting confused, and having to change drones on a controller, I use the RC Pro for the Mavic 3, and the RC for the Mini 3 Pro. I carry both for quality and zoom, or stealth if needed.

Updated to 1.00.500 but my RC controller still has Fly App 1.9.4 not the 1.9.8 needed for new speeds. How to update my Fly App on controller to complete the process?

Can you try to test if the reset clears the binding of the drone to the controller? I really hope they are doing this because it will make it easier to buy returns
