DoubleTree by Hilton Surabaya Hotel Review - King Loft Duplex Suite

Explore the DoubleTree by Hilton Surabaya located in the business district of Surabaya, Indonesia as we do a full room review. This hotel is a short walk from Tunjungan Plaza and offers easy access to many popular sites.

Hotel amenities and features include a comfortable executive lounge, outdoor pool, sauna, 24-hour fitness center, and rooftop bar/nightclub. Being that the hotel is in the business district, it caters to business travelers, offering comfortable in-room work spaces, a fully-stocked business center, concierge services, and meeting spaces.

Makan Kitchen is the feature restaurant, offering Indonesian, Chinese and Colonial cuisines - great for a culturally rich dining experience. Additionally, guests can access a quick cup of coffee from the lobby’s coffee shop/deli.

DoubleTree by Hilton Surabaya boasts 310 rooms, with options varying from a basic rooms, suites, and even lofts! All rooms are spacious and offer sweeping views of the surrounding neighborhood.

The staff were kind and helpful, though I couldn’t help but notice the staff in the executive lounge struggling to meet requests - what seemed a mixture of lack of English speaking skills and training. That said, upon check out the front desk team helped with a last minute taxi request upon my landing in Jakarta, as I headed to the sister DoubleTree there. Staff in Jakarta all knew of my arrival and made me feel very special.
