2020 is the last thing I want to remember. The year the globalist government took off its mask
ОтветитьI’ve always been surprised that Toyota uses plastic wheel covers over alloy wheels.
ОтветитьThe display is in the middle SO YOU CAN WATCH THE ROAD. Prius 101.
Edit: This is also why the new Prius (2023) is not a Prius.
eCVT is not a CVT trasmission, it is better to study before to open the mouth.
ОтветитьThe VAST majority of folks who own a Prius, absolutely love it :) The vast majority of folks who hate, have never owned, or even driven a Prius, OR, they do not "need" an economical car.
ОтветитьDebut: sounds like day·byoo
ОтветитьIf you can't afford a Prius, look at the Scion IQ. They understated the mpg, so it wouldn't hurt hybrid sales. The car was half the price and getting around 42mpg in the city.
ОтветитьJust a couple of inaccuracies: 1.) there are hidden backseat vents near the floor. 2.) At one point you stated that braking without selecting B burns the brake pads, later you correctly made mention of regenerative braking that happens even without pressing B. Thank you for covering the new safety features.
ОтветитьI dislike how much of the video is spent reading off a stat sheet or brochure. I'm more interest in what a person's opinion is on a car. Why they like or don't like it. How it compares to other cars they've tried out. etc.
ОтветитьHow are some people getting 60+ mpg? It’s amazing
Ответить2020 will always equal pandemic in everyone's mind.😱
ОтветитьI used to knock these cars until we bought one! Now this is the car we drive the most great gas mileage and reliable!
ОтветитьToyota started the whole center display with the Echo back in the mid 90's. Back then I seem to remember it was about giving the driver a better view of the road in front of them.
ОтветитьFor me, because I'm presbiop, it's perfect that the display is in the center and further away from my eyes so I can see without glasses.
ОтветитьOne day 20 years from now, Prius will be displayed on a podium in science museum as a living proof for Japanese innovation While American vehicles being stripped down at JUNKYARD!
ОтветитьThe plastic wheels most likely for aero. It's all about mpg.
ОтветитьWhich is better Hyundai Ioniq or Toyota Prius if you want to keep it 10 years?
ОтветитьToyota might be weird but it does a great job and gets over 40mpg.
ОтветитьThe Prius is not weird. It’s a Japanese masterpiece. What’s weird is you thinking it’s weird for a car that gets over 50 mpg.
ОтветитьThe beeping sound when in Reverse is annoying to some people, but not to all people. There have been times I mistakenly shifted into Drive instead of Reverse. Finally, my guess is the centering of the dashboard display is to help the driver keep the eyes centered on the road. There is less time to look down at the center display from the road than to looking at the driver side display from the.road.
ОтветитьWhat tire comes on it
ОтветитьInteresting, I never heard of this Special Edition, tho to be honest, I am not hugely into Priuses. My sister is the only one of my 4 sisters and 2 brothers into this car. She has owned every generation except for the 1st one.
ОтветитьI like the Reverse noise. It's really useful as an auditory confirmation.
ОтветитьI love the Prius, but it's too expensive in Australia. It's mispriced and they don't sell an awful lot of them as a result.
ОтветитьSee that doesnt bother me at all
ОтветитьI like the beeping sound I dont know why that bothers people
ОтветитьThe center placement is probably a cost saving measure because of right driving and left driving
ОтветитьWrong about b button
ОтветитьCenter because Japan has steering wheels on the right, cheaper to do the same for all.
ОтветитьVents are under front seats
ОтветитьThere is nothing I don’t like about my 2022 Prius Prime.. 76mpg… unbelievable! Most reliable car I have ever owned!
ОтветитьI love the easy to see center display in my Prius. At only 5 feet tall, the steering wheel in traditional vehicles always blocked my view of the display. Back in 2013, I purchased a brand new 2013 Toyota Prius in cash. I love my Prius!. The best trouble free, reliable investment I ever made. Today in 2021 with regular scheduled maintenance, my Prius continues running like new, zero issues, zero repairs, incredibly reliable, amazingly low fuel consumption and fuel expense. I retired this year and it looks like my Prius will outlast me.
ОтветитьThat whole car is absolutely disgusting, it looks like they took every somewhat decent plastic and replaced it with some garbage.
ОтветитьI guess they put the display in the center because the usual models are in front of the wheel which sometimes is hard to look at too.
ОтветитьThanks for the review on the Prius. not for us. too small
ОтветитьJesus is coming soon and he wants you with him! in heaven
ОтветитьThe only thing I do not like about this car is its meter in the middle.
ОтветитьI came from a 2014 civic with the speedo right in front of the driver and I prefer the off set of the Prius it makes parking way easier cause you can look right over the dash then glance at the speed on highway
ОтветитьHate that center display, would never buy a car with it. Focusing on the speed limit and the car temperature gauges, all off that is important to do without having to look over to the side.
ОтветитьThis thing looks like it was designed for Star War airheads.
ОтветитьYou drive too fast, especially for those curves!
ОтветитьThe display being on the center makes it easier to check the speed while driving. My 2014 Prius Plug-in was weird the first time I have driven it with the display on the center. However, it grew on me and I found it easier to check my driving speed on the Prius compared to when I tried to drive a Honda CR-V and other vehicles with the traditional placement of the instrument panel.
On my Prius Plug-in, I do not need to glance downwards just to check my driving speed. On the other vehicles with traditional placement of instrument panel, I had to quickly glance downwards every time I want to check my driving speed.
If only Chevy did not discontinued the Volt, then the Prius would still have a worthy domestic brand competitor.
ОтветитьHad my 2020 edition for a year almost and I love it. Currently Leasing but once that is up I'm hoping to pay it off or finance. Really great car compared to my 2004 Explorer. Not quite a tesla but with cruise control on, it almost drives itself.
When I was looking for a new car these are the things I wanted:
Great gas mileage.
Updated safety features.
Hybrid
Prior to my prius I had a 17 yarius which I financed for the same reasons but chose to trade in because I always wanted a hybrid.
We've been a huge Toyota family since the late 70's (seriously). It takes a bad crash to get rid of these amazing vehicles...they won't die!! (Crashes and stupid road salt seem to be the kryptonite for these cars.) We just bought our 2nd Prius, the AWD version, and getting an amazing 65 mpg.
ОтветитьMy 2009 yaris had a center speedometer everyone could see it lol. In the hatchback model. Looks much like this dash
ОтветитьWhy do they have to make hybrid cars so geeky looking? Driving a gas saver does not mean you have to drive around looking like a nerd.
Ответитьhow you reach that gear stick when your armrest is that disadvantage huge i still stay by my 2013 prius
Ответитьback up beep not odd at all.
ОтветитьJust picked one up. The display is in the middle to reduce manufacturing costs (right hand drive) and for differentiation. The Prius had to set itself apart and give the consumer the impression that it’s a different kind of vehicle when it first appeared. I Personally prefer the standard layout but when you are getting 53 mpg and you get TSS 2.0 standard, you can’t really complain. I drive 560-700 miles/week.
