How many times can you record over a cassette tape?
ОтветитьAnyone else remember VHS rewinders? And for some reason many looked like model cars lol
ОтветитьI always remember using a pencil. I think it's because as a kid, not a lot of us ever really used pens to write.
Ответитьdude clear out your damn nose before you record a video.
i don't wanna listen to your cold.
Luckily for the Big Pen industry few of us was informed of the fact that there were professional winding-thingies. Conspiracy theories claim that it actually was the Pen industry that began experimenting with casettes early on, and creating Philips, Sony etc as fronts for the purpose of luring people buying casettes with the sole gole of world domination, evil laughs and lots of sold pens.
One recent UN study have even unearthed evidence that Big Pen invented education to be able to indoctrinate children into believing that writing was a good thing. Today we know better.
No, your pencils are/were precisely the same as the ones we used in Bulgaria, neither thinner nor thicker. And my experience with them is exactly the same as yours. The BIC pens were the best for winding tapes. 😂 You are spot on, as usual...
ОтветитьLgr in techmoan video?what a cameo
ОтветитьA techmoan 8 bit guy vwestlife technology connections LGR collaboration would be epic
ОтветитьI was that one guy back in the day who used a boombox instead of a Walkman like I would annoy everyone by blasting it on the school bus and in the hallways
ОтветитьA tip: pencils and pens are a mixed bag for winding tapes, but mechanical pencils are usually the perfect size.
Ответитьlmfao theses headphones manufactuers were really like: how can we make this in the most cheap way ever loll I mean a piece of foam with a metal bracket to hold the drivers and thats it
ОтветитьWe had a VCR tape rewinder, to make sure we didn't have any fines from blockbuster for not rewinding. Be Kind, Rewind
ОтветитьКарандаши из СССР "конструктор" идеально подходят для перемотки кассет
ОтветитьHey ive used pens and pencils to rewind cassettes in 2005
Ответить@Techmoan :
I have one question, that was left out unanswered, though. Other than if it would even be possible to find one of these Sony automatic tape winders, I wanted to know if it uses a belt inside, or if it's direct drive? Thanks in advance, if you reply to this.
4 years after and I DID NOT EXPECTED THAT LGR CAMEO
ОтветитьHey, you’ve made the million now!! Even if you didn’t think you’d have it in 4yrs… glad you got there before your feared discontinuation of the plaques!!
ОтветитьRather ironic that the people making memes about "future generations will never know this" don't know jack about things themselves, lmao.
ОтветитьPencils used to have thicker paint on them, making them thicker and they used to work just fine.
ОтветитьBit late to the game, but just a thought - maybe the Bic pen is trademarked, whereas a pencil isn't, hence memesville, on t-shirts etc. There are generic Bic knockoff ballpoints, but perhaps they are playing faster and looser than any of us can imagine! Or maybe memesters just play uber-safe, not daring to risk the wrath of the Bic colossus ...
Ответитьi used a paperclip
Ответитьa mechanical pencil works to rewind cassette tapes also.
ОтветитьBic - 7.50mm Pencil - 7.25mm
Quarter of millimeter is important.
rewinder, not reminder. Sorry for the typo in previous comment.
ОтветитьLGR has got 360,000 more subscribers then you. You got to step your game up!! I mean come on.., 1.24 mil subscribers. That’s child’s play!
ОтветитьFrom what I've heard, Japanese pencils were thicker and therefore more useful as winders, so the image of a pencil winding a tape probably came from a Japanese tape deck manual.
ОтветитьHahaha That's so cool!!!
Ответитьthe pencil memes are made by the same youngsters that never even owned a walkman or cassette or even seen one up close , like they think cassettes sound bad…….pure ignorance
now i still use a (cassette) walkman on a daily basis and i have a dedicated bic pen in my vintage audio drawer from 30 years ago and like the walkmans (witch have been reverbished) it still is unbeatable!!
This reminds me of an old Chinese proverb. " He who struggles to take up cassette tape slack, should hang his head in shame"
Ответитьwish i'd known about the BIC pen method. I've thrown away around 50 tapes because of them being wound out of the case.
ОтветитьJust saw VWestife's "The cassette tape pencil mystery finally solved!✏" right before this.
He mentioned some pencils would slip once the end was reached, perhaps use those brands when you're winding a tape like a new year's eve noisemaker?
Ummm, acording to VWestlife (YT Channel), the pencils in Japan were thicker apparently, (( : just enough to be used as BICs... : ))
ОтветитьYou need a Japanese's pencil like the Mitsubishi 9850 for it to work properly as their standard is thicker then most of the rest of the world
ОтветитьThat big red erase button gave me ptsd, one time I accidentally recorded over my dads tape when I was 6… I got in some serious trouble
ОтветитьHow do engineers relieve constipation?
They work it out with a pencil.
You can’t get the cassette hand winders anymore so you will have to use a pencil. 👍👍👍
Ответитьthose people making the memes are not old enough to have used cassette
ОтветитьThe bic pen will be the superior product for rewinding tapes. Cost efficient and everyone had one.
ОтветитьMy tape wonder was my trusty fork and spoon
Ответитьwhat "japanese auction sites" exactly? you mention that frequently without giving any links :p
ОтветитьHere in germany the „Stabilo Fineliner“, a felt tip with very fine tip and hexagonal shape was the most common during my tape time :)
ОтветитьBack in China, we used ball point pens back in the day, or just rewind in the cassette player.
Ответитьwhat I REALLY hated was sometimes the super cheap portable tape players didn't even HAVE a rewind button. If you wanted to rewind, you had to flip the tape over, fast forward a bit, flip it back over, and play.
EDIT: I legit wrote that comment before watching the video. I can't believe you mentioned the EXACT same thing. That's so awesome
continuous playback HORS
