How long after I use copper 7 until I can use pool rx? Or do I need to get metal remover
Ответитьcompletely agree that you HAVE to use Cal hypo. 25k gallon pool here. Neglected completely from May until AugustI. Dark green algae. I couldn’t find any Cal hypo and put 12 pounds of regular dichloro shock and it did literally nothing. It wasn’t until 2 weeks later I finally found cal hypo at Walmart. Day one I did 12 pounds at 10pm, next day the pool was cloudy teal. So day 2 I put an additional 10 pounds of cal hypo and that finally did the trick. Cloudy blue! Skipped the clarifier, I just let the pump do it’s thing and it cleared after a few days.
ОтветитьWill this work with mustard algae? wich I believe my pool has. the water is clear but the walls are yellowish I can't scrub off algae off walls
Ответить*assess
ОтветитьWe have two green stains in our above the ground pool looks like it algae stains. How do we remove them?
ОтветитьCan I use this same system for a hot tub adjusting the amounts?
ОтветитьAssess not access but wonderful video, thanks.
ОтветитьI love how my pool store told me to purchase $200 of algicide and various other products and all it took was a few bags of shock and some PH down. Good video, thanks!
ОтветитьSooo... the HTH brand of shock, very widely used here in the States, has a 56.44% amount of calcium hypochlorite. But that doesn't mean it won't work for this mega-shocking exercise, right? It might just be, say, 4% less effective... since not at your 60% threshold. Yes / No?
ОтветитьThanks!! Worked 100% first time.. I'm a beginner in pool management & it's definitely been easier since I found your videos so thanks for information ☺️
ОтветитьIf my pool is darkgreen,is my sandfiltercakedwithalgE inside? If so,what should I do?
ОтветитьAcid and chlorine eat denim jeans and cotton t-shirts like candy. Athletic microfiber polyester tanks it like a pro.
ОтветитьGreat info but you spelt assess wrong. You spelt it as access
ОтветитьDoes this information apply the same to both standard chlorine pools and salt generator pools?
ОтветитьCan I use Sodium Hypochlorite 13% instead of Calcium Hypochlorite 60% to shock and clean a green pool and turn it back to clear blue as sodium hypochlorite is much cheaper ? Will that do the same job ?
ОтветитьWe have a 27 ft above ground pool and it had turned very green. I followed your directions as instructed. Added 6 bags of shock the first night and pool turned teal or lighter the next day. I added 6 more bags the second night and achieved the cloudy blue. Just need to add clarifier and I can close pool. Thanks you for this video.
ОтветитьThe problem I have is there are so many places that I don’t trust, they know we are dumb so they sell us stuff we don’t need
ОтветитьSuper educational thank you so much ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьHow about if your water is clear but algea spots are on the wall
ОтветитьI'm am so frustrated my pool guys keep saying I have to drain my pool to get rid of the alge they service it every week. My water is not green but now there is yellow spots in the pool. This pool is only 2 years old. I don't know what to do
ОтветитьOne gripe. Calcium Hypochlorite raises pH... Therefore it's better to be closer to low end of pH
Ответить"assess" the water color (not "access") ...
ОтветитьGoing to do this for first time this week, really hope I can get my pool looking clean
ОтветитьShock then do all the scrubbing and vacuuming? Or the other way?
ОтветитьYour awesome!
ОтветитьWhy do you not have the send the gift button.
Ответить25k gal Pool was dark green. Took 36 yes 36 pounds of cal hypo shock over 3-4 days to clear up. The lesson was: You don’t save money by neglecting your pool because “we don’t use it” whatever $ you didn’t spend on maintenance chemicals you will spend 2-3x when it comes time to clearing it back up.
ОтветитьThx for the video man, helped me a lot.
ОтветитьHow about adding sodium hydroxide
ОтветитьThank you so much for this clear, detailed description of how to get rid of algae. Before watching this video, I bought a bottle of Silver Algaedyn on the recommendation of an inground pool store owner. My pool is above ground. Should I use this in my pool? She said it has iodine in it. Will it turn my brand new pool liner colors?
Ответитьfollowed the instructions, 48 hrs later blue pool, just need to vacuum now, thanks a bunch!!
ОтветитьHey ? What if we can not get pool shock, what do we use?
Ответитьi have these tiny swimmers in it ,millions of them what are they.
ОтветитьThank you Very Much! So helpful!
ОтветитьWhat if the water is normal looking color but there is algae siting on the bottom of the pool?
Ответитьexcuse me, why do you need SHOCK? how about bleach?
ОтветитьWhat if I don’t have a manual vacuum and only a robot vacuum? Will those not work??
ОтветитьMy pool has turned a bright green and a double shock last night didn’t touch it. But the free chlorine levels are very high (off the scale according to the liquid test kit. Is it still safe to do a triple shock tonight? Ph a tad high according to the liquid test and on low side according to the strips. Argh!!!!
ОтветитьI have a question. My pool water tested really high cyanuric acid. Which I learned comes from stabilized chlorine, or shock. Would I do better with liquid chlorine in this case to treat algae?
ОтветитьThanks!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThank you for your expertise. I'm a new pool owner, and your university is very helpful.
Ответитьis liquid chlorine better than shock for salt water pools
ОтветитьHow do you Vacuum to wast with a Cartrdige filter? I have always had a sand filter until now so I'm alllllll confused
ОтветитьMy little above ground pool is 3500 gallons, would I still use the “up to 10K gallons” amount?
ОтветитьDouble shock at night, keep filter running non stop, add clarifier, backwash to waste. You're welcome...
ОтветитьHey! Been dealing with a mild algae problem and been following your emergency plan video. Doubled shocked my pool last night and woke up to super high total chlorine levels, low alkalinity, and high pH.
Is this something that'll wear off over the course of a hot sunny day? Or should I be dumping backing soda in to balance it out? Was planning on using clarifier but the steps say to balance things first.
I have been taking care of a pool for 35 years. Every year there is a new challenge, but this year is the worst. First had so much algae on opening. Literally took six weeks to clear up. Algae made a literal skin on the pool liner that flaked off for weeks. Swept, skimmed, and backflushed over and over and still had cloudy water. After finally getting clear water, after a couple weeks it started turning green again and almost overnight had dark green water. We even changed the sand because thought that might be the problem. We live in the middle of a lot of corn (field) which has been sprayed by spray planes a lot. Starting to wonder if the chemicals from that spray could be affecting my swimming pool. Thought about emptying the pool but you cannot do that with a vinyl liner inground pool. Still dumping in shock five pounds at a time every night. Never been this frustrated with my pool. Also have used way more acid that normal to bring the ph level down.
ОтветитьI need help with understanding what is a skimmer abd why is the hose leaking from the pool A area?
ОтветитьI went through all these steps, worked - cloudy ness went away after clarifier but now I have very light tan streaks on bottom of pool- brushed it up and shocked again - is that dead algae? I need to vacuum that to waste?
ОтветитьWhy do you recommend CalHypo (calcium hypochlorite) shock instead of "liquid chlorine" shock (sodium hypochlorite AKA bleach)?
Ответить
