Pokemon Arceus was fun. But you know what I think, that they should continue the Legends plot. LIke this one idea I have: They should do Pokemon Legends: Mew, or maybe Celebi. And the starts should be Squirtle with a Region Blastoise of Water and Steel/rock, Torchic with a Region Blaziken of Fire and Flying/Psychic (Psychic just for the irony of it's fighting type) and Snivy with a Region Serperior of Grass and Fairy. And the plot should involve a full-blown Team Rocket Invasion where they stole powerful Alpha Pokemon, much similar to the Lord of the Land Pokemons, and turn them into Shadow Pokemon with the attempt to use the ultimate pokemon, like Mewtwo on a Mew Legends or...I don't know, something that would be a rival to Celebi, to try and capture the Legend Pokemon.

It took me about eight months to beat completely....took me maybe eight tries to beat Volo and another ten to beat Arceus.

This is the best Pokemon game ever made.
After getting it at launch. I continued to come back to this game to this day. This game should be a model of how to progress with future pokemon games.

Well this looks pretty neat cant wait to play. Iv never been a huge fan of the video games it never really changed much. This is a lovely concept!

But like it looks bad... I mean I understand if you have an emotional attachment to the series not being able to see clearly. However, even if I squint my eyes really hard... it still looks like hot trash. The environments are basically empty too! There's nothing on the screen! How is it possible that it also still runs horribly?

If we put aside the terrible graphics and performance, no abilities, no gym battles, incredibly few trainer battles, the games difficulty is artifically inflated by making you fight multiple pokemon in trainer battles, unimaginative invisible walls, story is ham fisted, characters are poorly written, no music almost at all(there is some music just very very little), constantly reusing assets even if it doesn't fit in with the current environment, lazy character animation, and the side quests are almost always pointless/boring.

This isn't an issue of "Well, the switch is just so limited in what the hardware can do. So all things considered gamefreak is doing all they can". It's more an issue of gamefreak saying, "Give me money. Money me. Money now. Me a money needing a lot now". They just don't care. Sure the new direction is a good idea in many ways, but it doesn't matter how good an idea is. I have an idea for a time machine, here is two cardboard boxes taped together. What that's not what you were expecting? I don't understand, you like Pokemon Legends: Arceus didn't you?

Some of the issues listed above are not new to pokemon games, but it gets a lot harder to ignore those issues when the games is a pile of unfinished garbage. I don't want to blame the employee's over at gamefreak, this seems like a corporate decision to dump developement costs on a semicomplete experimental project. That's what this is. I'm not buying this game, I've seen enought to form an opinion. I didn't even have to sit through grinding or any of the jank controls.

I'm not buying it because it's a bad game and product. Most of all it sets a dangerous precedent. If gamefreak can pump out half finished games like this without having to invest too much time or resources making a good product, why will they in the future? Guess what? Scarlet and Violet is a buggy mess. Why bother sitting down and paying a staff to debug and test a game that fans will buy because it has "Pokemon" on the front of the box?

Gamefreak you should feel bad about yourself, where is your pride? Do you really care so little about your customers or how your product reflects on you that you are willing to pump trash out? I am typing this up really late, but that doesn't matter. The top comments on this video shouldn't be praise for the new direction, it should be critques on the horrible game you've released.

When the game came out I'm got it and I was impossible to win it makes you think that you have to go far from him but you have to go near Anthony does damage to you you fold out does more damage and does the same thing again and again I wasted all of my money on it

I got this game several weeks ago after holding off on pokemon since sword and shield. And I'm honestly having fun with it. Yes the open world can be a bit barren and the graphics are kind of meh, but if you're just looking for a casual open world pokemon experience with some new changes then you may enjoy this game. Just check out a walkthrough and see for yourself instead of blindly listening to people that have their standards set too high, it will cost you nothing and if the game isn't to your liking then all power to you! You just have to see for yourself.

Is this worth getting? What series is as close to red/blue/yellow but for today as thats still such a good game.

So hear me out I’m a 30 year old man and I grew up on Pokémon my first ever game was Pokémon yellow on the original game boy. I haven’t played the series since Pokémon ruby red. I really want to get back into it but I feel like I’ve missed out on thousands of new Pokémon. I feel like hopping back in I would be super lost. Is pikachu even around anymore lol is ash dead? Somebody help me out here. I want this games but I’m scared to be old while playing it 😂
