It refreshes my wonderful memories of my trip to Switzerland in the late summer of 1982. Our tour base camp location was in Interlaken from where we (my spouse and I) used our rail passes to Jungfrauhoch, Geneva (to visit a cousin of mine), took the ferry around Thunersee, and stopped at Spiez. We had a refreshing snack, then rented a paddleboat around the picturesque harbor.
I also enjoyed practicing my French and German and found that the natives were very friendly and told me that I articulated their languages very clearly so that they could understand me.

I feel people who live in Switzerland are god’s chosen ones!! So lucky to be staying in such a beautiful country. If there is a heaven on earth, it would definitely be here

Djemo, great video. Big question. Can you advise me please? We’ll be in Switzerland for 3 weeks in may. One week each in Neufchâtel area, interlaken area and Ticino area. Can you recommend a home base in each of these three regions? We’ll venture out from a home base to see highlights in each area. We will have a car. Would appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance. But I guess we need reservations as soon as possible since May is not far away.

Seelisberg is not the town where Switzerland ha been founded! It is rather a small, unknown village near to the Rütli, where indeed the Swiss Confederatoin took its birth on the 1st of August 1291. Please correct your statement,. because it is completely wrong!
