As a caravan owner I get it. The power station is great 👍 , but filtered water and quantity of water is more important than power, I have 2 solar controls, 2 AGM batteries, 600 watts of solar (1 on the roof, 1 on the ground) maxed out my system! Perfect! All for under 1000 bucks running victron!

What was the cost

Does the solar through MPPT and DCDC charge at same time? I was told I couldn’t have a solar regulator and DCDC together so the solar is running through DCDC. Was hoping to get the 40a DCDC and solar amps together for higher charge rate while driving?

Good video but one question. Why such low rated solar panels? Is it the roof size? panels are now coming out with over 400w ratings which admitedly does mean a more expensive MPPt unit but 1200-1600w is big step over 600w.

Please tell me that there’s more to securing the solar panels to the roof than just heavy duty glue ! I have read a number of stories of panels flying off roofs due to deteriorated glue. I heard that most caravan manufactures have now moved to bracket screwed to the roof

Why did you go with the eco post controller to charge batteries via solar over the DC to DC charger installed from Enerdrive?

I go to site to compare price, they want my personnel information, no thanks. I can get quotes from other sources, so if you don't give prices, well bye. Chances are you are too high in price anyway.

Have you (or can you) wire the inverter into the 240v circuit so when you are offgrid you can just use the 240v plugs as normal? If so, what kind of isolator would you need to do if you then plug the van into 240v power at a caravan park?
