Boyfriend mourns after woman killed by hit-and-run driver in South L.A.

A woman was struck and killed by a car while crossing the street with her boyfriend in the Baldwin Hills area of South Los Angeles.

The couple was walking across La Cienega Boulevard near Obama Boulevard at about 1:30 a.m. when the woman, Yvonne Parks, 40, was struck by a dark-colored Toyota Camry, the Los Angeles Police Department said. That Toyota then fled without stopping.
