ОтветитьHey Jared! Im an elementary PE teacher and teaching my students about stiff leg barbells! I said asshole out and now I dont have a job. (and every other school says I'm on some sort of list when i apply?) 😓 What should my next step be, and what is that list? Does that mean im too good of a coach??
ОтветитьOne of the biggest things to with new trainers, is to NOT start out by training five or six days a week. You want to start a lifestyle. Not TRY a workout program. Every new trainer should start with three days a week full body workouts in my opinion for a month. Then the next month move to four. Then the next month to four with more volume. Then to five in month four. If you couldn't muster up even one day a week for years, you're not suddenly going to be fully committed to five days a week. You'll start skipping within a month. Then that becomes a habit, you skip more and more, and then you stop. The idea behind three days a week and then adding days is that even though it's only three days at first, you're not 'skipping'. You are staying committed to that plan. For me, The Truth by Frank Sepe is one of the best books out there for newbies. It leads you in properly, and it's so simple to follow.

I had two questions on her feet during the squats, though.
1) was she using any kind of heel lift? The angle sort of suggested it, but there didn't look like there was anything under her feet, and the camera never really showed the footwork.
2) her feet looked very close together, to the point where it looks like she's squatting behind her legs, target than between them, if that makes sense. Is that a usual squat position and I've just been doing sumo this whole time, or is something else going on?
