In America it is either unhealthy CRAP poisoned cheeses or
100x the cost for good healthy cheeses. Corporate Father is
so bad on the poisoned foods.

Ohwow... slow down there. Spinach contains a lot of oxalates (which are toxic) and you'd be good NOT to eat tons of it. I'd keep it down to a maximum of once per week.

You can make Keto easy by staying within the macros. People who fail at Keto try to do a low-fat version of it which is really Atkins. Atkins works and I did do it quite a few times but I went on Keto when I lost less and less weight on Atkins. The reason is Atkins initially works but because you are still eating carbs and aren't emphasizing fat, you are still hungry. Atkins also doesn't impact insulin resistance, which is the reason why you failed to stay on it. Once you embrace fat, and healthy fat (dumping all vegetable oils and sticking with animal and dairy fat and lots of EVOO), the weight will come off. High fat really satisifes you and when you are fully on it, you might be surprised at how difficult it is to want to eat. For example, I just came back from a wedding over 2500 miles away. In the 3 days I traveled by car, I ate 3 meals. I wasn't hungry and since I was so focused on driving, my mind wasn't on food. I ate once I got to the hotel for the night and even then it was a small meal like a 6 ounce steak (or grilled salmon) with steamed broccoli.

Ok Meatos, just ponder on this for a minute: the nutrient which is correlated with the biggest reduction in all cause mortality is ….
FIBRE
Yup that’s right the stuff you only get from fruit vegetables and grains.
And no fat is not ok… literally 1000s of pieces of high quality scientific research showing this. Looked what happen to Dr Paul Saladino.

One condiment that you didn't mention is hot sauces. Obviously you need to look at the added sugars in the large company produced ones but it can be a great way to add flavor and a little spice. As far as cheeses, I like most. I love Brie and cheddar and yup, I can eat the entire package.

When this episode discusses non-starchy vegetables an nuts, it seems to be focused on net carbs vs. total carbs. Some of the recommended nuts may have quite a bit of fiber, which would count as total carbs.

Actually too much spinach is highly toxic because it is loaded with oxalates - 85% of kidney stones are calcium oxalate. There are thousands of people out there that have an oxalate problem and don't even know it. Almonds are also loaded with this highly toxic substance - another big problem for keto eaters, long with chocolate, sweet potato, beetroot, rhubarb! and most nuts. EO Nutrition with Elliot Overton has done some excellent videos with Susan Owens on this topic - it is definitely worth watching.

I'm a fan of goat cheese and sheep cheese (usually smoked). I do have to be careful, because I can eat a whole block in one sitting, if I let myself. Some days when I really want cheese, I'll sometimes let it be my meal for the day (I'm typically OMAD, with some variations, to keep my body a little off balance and, hopefully, not ramping down my metabolism due to the IF (and periodic multi-day fasts)).

Nuts... what about pecans? I've heard/read several sources say that pecans are lower carb than almonds. I make an pecan butter (with a tablespoon of cinnamon and a tablespoon of unsweetened 100% cacao chocolate; sometimes with a tablespoon of melted butter (but no sweetner, not even keto-friendly sweetener)). It's divine. Again, I have to be careful not to over eat it. I use it as my dessert, usually after a very low-carb meal). I continue to enjoy your no-nonsense content on healthy, low-carb diets.

Are blueberries and strawberries full of sugar and therefore bad for cancer sufferers?
