How To Install a PERFECT Tile Backsplash (All Materials, Tools and Prices Included)

How about covering how much to charge for laying backsplash tile… a paper with cost of all the products, glue/mortar, grout, tile, tape, paper, etc

Your outlet box with 3 tile lines all together looks terrible like a guy who puts the floor in and lines the tiles up instead of staggering them

Your link $57 for one adjustable outlet box is robbery and deceit!

Can I put backsplash tile in before I put the cabinets in? If so what heights would I do it so I don’t make a serious mess on the counter tops, why you say because I have a very bad back and leaning over the counter is hard on my back. Someone said I could put all the tile on the floor and walls (backsplash) before I put in the cabinets.

So why don’t we put backer board on the wall before we install the tile? What happens when we want to change the backsplash? If we add backer board can we just unscrew the backer board to swamp backsplash tiles after years of course?

This is my first backslash and your video has really helped me to do it right. I'm confused with notching the tile at the electrical boxes as the notch was below the box so do you always have to do this step? What am I missing?

I thought a vent hood was in the area between the cabinets?

Thanks for the video! Father/Son business is cool! I am about to do my kitchen backsplash, thats how I found this video. Question, why didnt you guys put the sealer on after hanging them. then the next day the tiles were already sealed, so grout comes off easier? Or seal one time at end?

Lol, I hate mastic I don’t even know if that’s how you spell it but I hate it. I’ve never paid attention to the spelling honestly I don’t use it much but I love your videos dude I really appreciate your videos because I really appreciate the time and effort you put into everything that you do, I’m a tile guy, mainly, but i do other things too on the side mostly like remodeling type stuff I have worked with a bunch of different people that have been doing construction their whole lives so I know some stuff and every video of yours that I’ve watched your doing these things exactly the way I would do it. It’s really hard to find people that do a good job and do things the correct way so thank you very much for showing people the correct ways of doing things. It really is a breath of fresh air watching your videos.

Also when i do the beveled tile when im grouting i apply, scrap the excess and then just run my finger down the grout line almost like your doing a caulk line but i put my finger sideways in the bevel but right at the top of the tile edges I’m still able to move fast and it makes my initial clean and final clean so easy

Thoughts on the Mapei Type 1 tile adhesive versus AcrylPro tile adhesive?

With all the troubles in Houston, I have been going back and watching old Studpack (an oxymoron at best because studpack never gets old) This video contains easily one of the top 5 practical Paul tips on setting tiles tight and moving them away to make the gap. For me this tip along with placing a drop cloth beneath you when you install stuff with small parts are worth their weight in gold!

pre mixed grout....ok....never use pre mix grout....36 yrs a tiler....maybe wear waterproof gloves , kitchen gloves, saves ur fingers
