In south east Asia man's family is prime family. They are not extended family. A women need to move to man's house and live with his parents, grandparents and siblings. So marriage happens between same social economic status. Men must provide their parents their life style. Men will feel guilty if they and their parents and siblings dont have same financial status. If women marry poor men they need to provide their lifestyle to mans birth family. For men that is not the case. Men need not provide anything for wife parents. Men make money and spend on wife,çhildren and parents. Women make money and spend for husband, children and in laws too.

My Chinese wife and I soon will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. I am Caucasian American male. We live in the Unoted States. Probably Chinese women already know, but I say here again, Chinese women are very popular with American men. So, maybe Chinese women looking for husbands should consider American men. However, the problem is, all around the world, all men want - and need - to feel they are heroes in the eyes of their women. So if you have a millonaire woman and he has less money, it is a real psychological problem for both the man and the woman. I also want to add, if possible, women need to marry early, ages 18 - 25.
