do you have your sticks set up backwards? I just got a DJI and am watching tutorials and thought the left stick was for up down, and look left or right, but you were flying it completely with the left stick at first. thanks

damn, so you have to do magic with the joysticks to make it fly. I was sitting there for 30 minutes like dumbass before i went back in again

got mine yesterday. got all excited, opened the boxes, got everything ready to do the firmware updates, and the damn battery is DOA. rushed back to BB to exchange it, 2nd one so far is just fine. how the hell does a battery die that fast? that tells me they don't test each battery before shipping them

How do you start and stop? I started it and pressed everything and the motors would not stop..after 10 mins they stopped on their own?

Very nice video, I just ordered one of these and your video is helpful to someone new to it. I fly RC planes and helicopters and own a DJi mini SE and had a Spark but this stuff is different.. I also watched your unboxing video.

Just received my Remote Controller 2 , looked all over to download the manual or tutorials on the functions and buttons on the controller but never could find what I needed to know. Then thought id look thru Air Photography’s videos and sure enough , I found exactly the video I was looking for . I should have looked here in the first place. I bought a second hand dji fpv and during lift of it just flipped to the side instead of going up. My propellers were installed correctly. any thoughts? Thank you!

I thought with the manual mode you have to change the gimbal to like the fpv throttle down in the back of the radio?

Does it fly like a regular drone? up goes up and down goes down?

Why does a battery need a firmware update

Thank you for posting this video. I couldn’t get the controller to work with the simulator out of the box. Downloading the dji fly app turning on first the goggles with phone then controller and last I had to power on the drone and the app auto asked to update the firmware that made it finally work with the dji fpv simulator

i followed your exact steps....new FPV out of the box. I havent even powered up the drone itself yet. When I am going through the menu to use the app I get to the " power up and connect your controller " part. My controller just keeps flashing the 4 green lights. How do I get this controller paired up???

I just bought one but when I go to connect the controller to the drone, the drone starts blinking red fast, which is supposed to mean the battery's are low but I can see the the battery leds are all lit up and it won't let me take off

NOTE: Never double-click the Start/Stop button in "Manual Mode". The drone will shut off the motors and drop like a brick. Don't ask how I know lol 🙄

Great video! I had a DJI Mavic Pro and DJI goggles along with extra batteries and other equipment I donated to the brave men and women of Ukrainian Air Reconnaissance Unit. They sent me video of them thanking me for it and also of being used in action. I used to fly it with goggles on in "airplane mode" and loved it so I just got a new DJI FPV drone. I appreciate your tutorial. I'll stick to N & S mode until I've had lots of time on the simulator. From an American Army veteran and drone enthusiast, Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇸🤜🤛🇺🇦

Been loving this drone. Thinking about taking the leap onto the full/real remote controller instead of just the motion controller. :)

One thing I can't seem to find online or in the PDF user guides is any description or definition of what each of the icons mean in the goggles OSD. Does anybody know where I could find that? Some of the icons are obvious but some aren't. For example, I have one little red icon on the bottom but I don't know what it means. It would be nice if DJI provided a legend somewhere for all the icons. It must exist somewhere right?

I just took my maiden voyage today! Love it! I actually have only flown with the motion controller so far. I love the motion controller and how ridiculously simple and intuitive it is. It makes flying the drone so stupidly easy.

One question: Is it possible to fly using the standard remote controller that comes with the kit in the Normal/Sport modes if I tighten the internal screws so that the throttle doesn't spring back to center? I can't find any info for this online. Having spent nearly 60 hours in the Liftoff simulator and flying other mini drones I am very accustomed to having the throttle NOT spring back to center. So having it return to center on the DJI FPV remote is very bizarre to me. Do the Normal/Sport modes 'expect' that the throttle stick always returns to center in order for those modes (and the drone) to behave properly? Or can I still use Normal/Sport mode with a non-return-to-center throttle stick? Another way to ask the question, if I tighten those screws, am I limited to running in Manual mode only at that point?

You didn't have a spotter? Or you don't need one on private land? Also can you program button on remote to turn spot light on

If theirs one thing I don't like, you need to update the firmware just to fly. I've done everything but update and still not able to fly it. That's something I love about the Typhoon H series, you don't need to update anything, just pair your transmitter and fly
