We all need to visit Venice so it can build a wall. Its a dam shame.🎉
ОтветитьI don't know why China is spening 100s of millions if not billions on a port by Venice because in the near future Scicily will be attached to Italian mainland and there will also be a tunnel built under the Adriatic Sea connecting Italy's heal and SE Asia and when these projects are done few will go into the Adriatic Sea.
ОтветитьFermatevi 35 km prima e non avrete problemi di acqua alta.
ОтветитьAn island in Medeival Venicià was Povèglia, an island that exists today, but they placed thousands of people with the plague on Poveglia island.
The island is banned from entrance to this day!
Venice is vanishing 😅
Ответитьwhat if they re route some rivers back?
ОтветитьThey shouldve built a dam or several dams in the sea...too late now. Too costly to do it. That city will end up a ruin eventually....oh well
ОтветитьDid you have to have carousel music playing so loud?
Ответитьlooks like they have already been mostly solving the problem by moving most of the buildings businesses and people to the mainland from the map images shown in this video.
for the tourism/overcrowding part of it then can ban or strictly limit the tourists going to the island part of the city and do tv documentaries and online virtual tours, they could possibly even start a new tourism/cottage industry where like 5-10 people a day are let in maybe 20-30 if it gets popular, and they have high quality camera equipment and go where the people online vote or asked or paid for ahead of time to go film/see/explore. eventually they could offer the pre-produced tv shows and the archived live streams at one minimal price point on a streaming service while charging slightly higher or moderately higher for the live streaming/exploration/live tourist tiers where the tourists guide the tours/excursions
a portion of the profits could go to fund historical preservation efforts and another portion could go to fund the locals living on the island part of the city that were so inconvenienced by the tourists for so long.
you would still have some in person tourists, but so many people who dont want to travel or dont want to deal with costs paperwork red tape and vaccinations required for travelling, would just watch the video tours instead.
i mean pbs tv network in the usa is hugely helped/funded every year by replaying old rick steeves europe travel shows its one of their biggest fundraiser drive draws every 3-4 months ((still ridiculous they do fundraisers now every fiscal quarter instead of just once a year or once every 2-3 years like they did when i was a kid, and that now they often only show the good programming when a fundraiser goes on instead of all the time like they used to do)) so you know the novelty and tourism value of being able to tour a major historical place like venice or the vatican from the comfort of home and guide the people filming it to go where they want them to go would bring in a lot of money potentially.
Why not just do the math and only open the gates needed
Ответитьu didnt mention that they flush their toilets into that water
ОтветитьEvery year im at least 5 of those tourists in toronto lol
ОтветитьGuess they shoulda asked netherlands but ok
ОтветитьThousands of years? You mean hundreds.
ОтветитьNowdays its Moscow, you dont know what drop from sky on you 😅😅😅
ОтветитьIf you sleep in venice, is it on a water bed?😂😂😂
ОтветитьYou know what? I say let it sink
ОтветитьThe pace of this video is uncomfortable
ОтветитьGMO some of the nearest Mangrove trees to be able to better withstand the colder temperatures and plant little forests in the appropriate surrounding areas. They protect against the tides, collect sediments, and are the most efficient forests at converting co2.
ОтветитьWell but there were many trade cities in italy and some, loke genoa as successful as vencie
ОтветитьBtw mose is moses in italian bc he just be parting the seas like that
ОтветитьBro I imdrstand but I am from 2023 and it’s worse
ОтветитьSmall correction: Venice, as in the touristic destination in the lagoon, is NOT 260k people. Venice's administration extends to the land and city of Mestre where most of the inhabitants actually are. So the 1 out of 4 people being tourist is wrong... The ratio is much higher.
ОтветитьI was in Venice, it was nice in the center but in the industrial zone was not very nice
ОтветитьThese videos would be so much better if they were narrated by someone who knew how to pronounce words properly.
ОтветитьVenice is so tiny infact that we could make a 1:1 size replica of the entire city, populate it with ~200k NPCs have it be affected by virtual tides and have some rudimentary water physics map the flow of water thru the city. And still have 50 or so gigabytes left before reaching 100 gigs.
ОтветитьNazi Riga is Worst !
ОтветитьThey need to take some tips from the Netherlands
ОтветитьVenice is not badly located at all, it has one of the greatest locations.
Worst location have cities and countries that: 1) are encircled by larger, enemy countries (=no long periods of steady development) 2) don't have easy access to ocean (=no big trade, no colonies). In Europe this problem have the central-eastern countries (Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Belarus, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria).
I visited Venice last month. My goodness. What an incredible place. Did you know that gondoliers have to be born into the job? I didn't know that but I learned that from my dude.
ОтветитьAttentione pickpocket
ОтветитьI mean theres nothing stopping us from removing cars in other citys
ОтветитьWait, ive been to Venice a couple of times for sure. Thats not what Italy looks like from the air, even at that kind of altitude. Mountains dont ever appear to be like a desert. Someone needs to reedit this feed and for accuracy. Otherwise, well people might misconstrue the purpose of the video. Or, people whove never seen Italy from the air, might think ...why does N. Italy look like a desert?
ОтветитьI know .. I got it ! I know how to solve the Venice flooding issue! All the millions of tourists are required to take 5 gallons of water with them when they leave. I'm a genius 😊
ОтветитьVenice was a city made out of desperation rather than intentional planning. Venice was settled by Roman citizens who fled aquilea after the huns destroyed it. They basically scrambled to find shelter nearby that the huns wouldn’t come for.
ОтветитьGreenhouse gasses have little to do with sea level. Our planet just has natural cycles where it goes slightly closer or futher from the sun and thats what causes the cyvles of rising ald lowering of the sea level.
ОтветитьHow do you make a venetian blind?
Poke him in the eye😊
Been to Venice 3 or 4 times now, it is an extremely expensive city, overflowing with pickpockets and smelling like the sewer. But pretty
ОтветитьCant they just redirect the rivers to deposit silt in the lagoon?
ОтветитьThe EU should introduce a touristtax for people visiting outside from Europe
ОтветитьDead give away there Mr torono lol what part do you live in?
ОтветитьWhy i am placed at the worst place😭😭😭
ОтветитьSuffering from success: tourism edition.
ОтветитьApparently it is not! It evolved to an empire and dominated all over the East. Mediterranean
Ответитьcut off the lagoon from the adriadic sea by locks at the 3 entry points and install a pumpsystem on the now newly formed dam. voila, no more flooding with careful control over the lagoons waterlevel.
Ответитьahh venice, the new orleans of europe
ОтветитьIPCC report is often repeated nonsense. Stop the cult of doomsday hysteria.
