Ice is a type of rock unfortunately
ОтветитьHow tf is carbon a mineral??
ОтветитьPOV you have a test tomorrow 😂
ОтветитьMINERALSSSS
ОтветитьI liked the pacing of this video. Sometimes I find your videos a bit fast paced. This is a nice change.
Ответить"They're rocks, Hank"
ОтветитьThank u very much sir 💪
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьGreat video for graduate students in geology.
Ответить👌🫠🙏🌹❤️
ОтветитьCheck us 🌹
Ответитьyaass finally! thanks!
ОтветитьTudo bem explicado.👏👏👏👍
ОтветитьAm i God .from miracle exist with out a source from nothingnest.😅
ОтветитьWhy i am always exist from qwestioning with out anser.😆
ОтветитьWhat is reasonable un xplanable of things .we cant imagine how it happen😕,?
ОтветитьEnd were all that come from why it exist from no where of nothing nest😅
Ответитьyessss I love minerals thank you for this one Dave!
ОтветитьWater always finds a level.
ОтветитьI'm a flat earther here to disprove dave and explain that the earth is indeed flat. Which oceans are fizzy dave? Which of them are carbonated? NONE OF THEM. Even if there is some naturally occurring fizzy water, that doesn't change the fact that the overwhelming majority of water is flat. Would you call a soda fizzy if it was less than 1% of its initial carbonation? NO. The earth is flat. Open your eyes sheeple!!!11!!!!!1!
ОтветитьSo where'd ya get that brain dave? The fact that you can teach on multiple categories is very handy
Ответитьgot a weird question but i got a somewhat similar tattoo on the inside of my left forearm and i got it so i could see it while playing guitar... heard you are also a musician and wondered why you got yours there?
ОтветитьThe video starts out, "Now that we know some things about identifying minerals based on their physical characteristics..." Which previous video explained this?
ОтветитьI wonder if Hank is watching this
ОтветитьThis was really enjoyable to watch. Cheers Dave
Ответитьi always wondered, and couldn't find any satisfying anwser, what composition of dirt makes it dirt-like, able to get muddy, that brown stuff all around the world, i know soil has many variants but still...
ОтветитьCould you do an origin of life basics course? Watching the debunks has me enthralled with the vastness of the processes which led to the creation of our universe as we know it.
ОтветитьVery informative
ОтветитьBeen subscribed for ages. Loving the basic runthroughs of chemistry and now geology. As someone who let peer pressure push me away from Geology (Big mistake! I'm a HUGE rockhound.) I'm glad to be able to catch up with you.
Note: Please be sure to devote a full up to fluorescence and phosphorescence. If you need any reference photos, I have an extensive collection of glowy rocks. ;)
Professor nose is the name and ego is the game ...Hey remember me well never forget that you don't fool me and you will be judged one day
ОтветитьI'm here as a regular mining dwarf resting from a fructiferous day of work in my fort having the incredible pleasure of watching all this knowledge in such an approachable form. Thanks comrade Dave, looking forward to seeing more on this topic.
ОтветитьDave you should really stick to straight up dunking on flat earthers. It’s easily the most entertaining content you put out and what most of us are subscribed for. Not to mention how many views you get on those videos compared to whatever this is. I love someone as smart as you completely destroying morons.
ОтветитьThis was pretty cool, but every time I hear anions and especially cations, now, I hear the complete idjit flat-earther that thought he knew what they were, but kept saying "cayshuns" instead of cations. It was hilarious! 🤣 But now, I have a hard time listening to something involving the terms and paying attention, because I'm constantly thinking about that video!
ОтветитьThey’re not rocks Marie, they’re minerals
Ответитьa guy on tiktok stole your video intro and called it his "alter ego dave"
ОтветитьHi Prof. Dave, could I use light absorption to recognize monazite in the field? As an example, could I shine a 540nm laser and whatever is reflected back would be a monazite rock? or better yet, is there a frequency that thorium emits that I could detect with a meter? Thanks!
Ответить🙂👍
ОтветитьYea but I mean think about a carbonate or borate. You have to uniquely create a hydrogen vacuum through processing. Metallurgy is useful but I think in between chemistry and metallurgy you get weird shit like flipping the state of elements. At what configuration is lithium metastable in a way the resembles ethanol or gasoline? This should be possible I think, but it’s a fractional form of exotic matter. It’s specifically really hard to isolate to a large degree. Then I’m thinking about locality and age determination, idk. I feel like there’s more data to find all around
ОтветитьProf Dave you're doing amazing job in the minerals series so please once done can you please please extend our knowledge by explaining the different types of sand and what are they composed of, so why are there red sand, white sand, beach sand etc... it will be great extension to this magnificent series.
ОтветитьNeed this info for dwarf fortress, thanks.
ОтветитьYou're such a good teacher.

This! This is what I’ve been looking for!
ОтветитьI’m sick with a bad cold , just woke up , this is just the thing I needed to pair with my flat fizzy water to feel human again :D
Keep up the good work Dave :3!
This was super informative. I really should just listen to your playlists while I do boring stuff at work haha
ОтветитьHank Schrader would've loved this
ОтветитьThanks
