Hey Phil, thank you for talking about your vestibular migraines. I suffer from the same chronic thing and it's crazy to hear someone else talk about this publicly. It's so hard to explain to people how awful it feels when you physically look 'normal'. Anyway, thank you for bringing awareness!

phil, I literally deal with the same medial issues as you!!! I initially got diagnosed with vestibular migraine, but in October I saw a dizziness specialist and got diagnosed with PPPD. I never thought I would find someone that deals with the same stuff as me

I have had weird dizziness since August and so far the doctors have only done 2 tests on me one of which has come back clear and the other has been over a month without any results. Does anyone know how I can get them to consider / test for vestibular issues? How do they test for this? It's a frustratingly slow process and without any medication or exercises to help for several months I'm really struggling.

So I’ve been going through scary health stuff too and I have the same outlook. I only have one life so I may as well try to navigate my new issues because the only other thing to do is let depression win

And depression has won enough while I’ve been healthy. So I work very hard to try and enjoy my day to day as I can

Get one of those little moisture meters that tells when the soil is dry. I’ve seen one that looks like a frog and when it gets dry the frog ribits to remind you to water it.

maybe get checked for Idiopathic intercranial hypertension!! i had the same floaters and dizziness for months and months so go for an eye test and get a spinal tap!! it might be that

It's so nice to hear that I'm not the only one who suffers with vestibular migraines. I've tried to explain it to people so many times and in so many different ways about how it effects my everyday life and to hear about someone else's experiences makes me feel like I'm not alone. I'm sorry you have to suffer through them, thank you so much for sharing your experiences with them. It makes me feel hopeful. (:

Hey Phil! I'm sorry to hear that your vertigo hasn't gone away. Have you considered that perhaps your dizziness is caused by your ear crystals shifting? It happened to someone I know, and was resolved in a short time with something called "The Epley Maneuver".

When I was in secondary school I got visual migraines that no one had ever heard of. Stress and anxiety caused words to vibrate at a distance and rearrange themselves on the page in front of me, some kind of dyslexia migraine and I also struggled to see yellow, helpful when maths had yellow shapes on white paper and I could barely see where they began and ended. Got a lot of detentions for not being able to work. Doctor thought I was making it up. They could last days at a time. Turns out scientists have now heard of something like this but not at the time. Just to say weird headaches with weird effects youre not alone!

Also, I always wanted to learn to hanglide but tried paragliding one time on holiday and discovered I have this condition that makes me faint up there, or even on the ground if im dehydrated/have low iron/too much exertion too soon after waking up/unknown other reasons. So thats fun. Rip hangliding.

Never been medicated for either, the migrsines did go away after some years though.

I keep coming back to this video at the moment cause one of my housemates got a bunch of headaches and then started to get dizzy times that are really similar to what Phil gets.
Genuinely, I would be so lost if I hadn't heard Phil talk about this - so thanks for that! Definitely making all of this a little less scary

Hearing phil struggles with VM/PPPD makes me feel so much less alone :,) ive been having this weird dizziness since 2018 and it's a daily struggle. Knowing its not just me and someone who ive looked up to for half of my life is also struggling (even though im sorry youre going through this - its awful) it makes me feel so much less alone
