Empowering English Language Learners - Academic Supports

"Empowering English Language Learners" is an educational video series highlighting best practices and resources to support diverse students in their classrooms, schools, and communities. Demographic trends indicate Ohio’s students are becoming more racially and ethnically diverse. This video series responds to the Ohio Strategic Plan in Core Principles and Priority Strategies (highly effective teachers/leaders, teacher, and instructional support, meet needs of the whole child, develop literacy skills).

The Multimedia Grant project has a long history of supporting educational initiatives for Ohioans. This project is a joint initiative among Broadcast Educational Media Commission (BEMC), the Ohio Department of Education (ODE), and Ohio's Public Television Stations. "Empowering English Language Learners" is brought to you by the Broadcast Educational Media Commission, the Ohio Department of Education, and WGTE.
