I think what really made Shikimori fall for Izumi was that he not only liked her cute side that Shikimori was trying to show more of, but he also really liked the tough side that she was trying to hide because she didn’t want people to see her like that. I feel that that’s what Shikimori wanted most and Izumi saw through her and loved what he saw that Shikimori fell for him.

So love blooms and we meet the hero of his existence.. nice!

Shikimori thought she could either follow her brother and mother’s footsteps, be a cool athlete who protects her friends or be a cute girl boys can fall in love with. She always showed part of herself in deciding who she would be. Izumi showed her she can just be herself. He made Shikimori see that it was ok to be everything that she is.
