The way bow plays in Rise. Damn i was purposely avoiding it after world and it's everything i want in one weapon. The hyper aggressive, hyper mobile, bully style that makes monster hunter oh so satisfying. 🤌🤌

Can you stop using controller input like "Right trigger", because i don't know what is it. I use Keyboard & Mouse.
Can you say "aim input", "melee attack", etc ?

Dodge bolt is king, if you want to make it even better get lvl 3 evade extender and also lvl 3-5 evade window. Monsters won’t even touch you 👌🏻

Is there any reason to primarily hold-to-charge, any skills of note that makes it the least bit useful compared to any other charge method? After liking MHFU Bow, then trying MHW Bow, the new spam-bow leaves a sour taste in my mouth, so anything to make a classic walk-and-charge bow good again would win me back in a heartbeat.

Been using dash dancing with powershot animation cancel for mid range rapid build. Set switch skill to dodge bolt for close combat for mainly downed monsters. Didnt know it was a true counter, definitely need to use dodge bolt more!

The thing about dodge bolt is so true. Many did not talk much about it. I play spread exclusively and dodge bolt is a must.

This man doth not lie. This indeed provides you with the best information regarding the bow.

Loved the bold (and factual) statement! Quick, precise, and thorough. What a fantastic and engaging 8 min that was.

You don't even have to press a direction for dodgebolt. Just pressing the dodge button will do one mostly in place

And if you counter you can shoot Dragon Pierce more quickly

SuperHansburger93 - 12.07.2022 21:20

I never use the shoot to charge method to be honest. Because there's a much faster way to get your combo running on a disable monster:
- Start charging you lvl1 attack.
- When the lvl1 is almost charged, dash.
- As soon as lvl 1 is charged, release the attack trigger, then press it again.
- Do a power shot at the exact moment the shot is fired, not before or you initial shot will be skipped.
This will skip firing level 1 and immediately shoot level 2 and 3 very fast, allowing you do fire your level 4 after one more dash.
This is not a bug, this is simply mixing the charging method with the dash dancing one, and it maximizes your DPS.

Per your recommendation, I been trying out dodgebolt as a replacement for the sidestep. Took a bit of practice, but once I got used to it, man, does it feel amazing. It forces me to play so much more aggressively and I love it. And everything dies so much quicker now. Thanks for the tip, man. Don't think I could go back to sidestep. Dodgebolt is just too fun.

Wouldn't Dodgebolt work briliantly with Spread Type tho? It forces you to get close and personal, which will benefits Spread Type's . . . . . well, spreading shots

Dan Timpano - 02.04.2022 20:31

Personally I prefer charged side step with rapid type for the majority of hunts. I have an easier time managing full charge even when the mob isn’t targeting me. That said, spread + dodge bolt work nicely together but again for pierce I choose sidestep. When stamina gets low I throw on my two wire bugs for a boost in atk and in that animation I regain a healthy chunk to get me back to level 3-4 again

I've been subscribed to you for a while, but I just now realize that your videos don't have tens of thousands of views! You were presented by the algorithm, and I subbed for the high quality, thinking you were some Gaijin-like content creator with God knows how many subscribers, but you're still relatively small. You will blow up someday, no doubt about it, every video of yours is top notch 👌🏼

Dodgebolt is a lot easier for me at 60fps. Not sure if that's the game, or if my brain reacts faster to the higher frame rate.
