Hey, thanks :-) It was 6 years ago but it still cool to hear some new tones of sound with RP360.

The RP360 / XP do really have some excellent sounding tones and more effects that you’ll really ever need, nice modulation & delay fx in my opinion. It’s possibilities with its editing capabilities are great compared with many other modellers of its time if you’re willing to spend time editing parameters to create your own tones, which many don’t like doing and just want to plug in and play expecting it to sound great immediately, but nothing will do this as we all have slightly different desires for our tones so for me it’s important with any music gear that you work with it and tweak and edit lots of parameters to create the effects and tones you really want, that’s a huge part of the fun for me truly delving under its hood and learning all areas of gear.
I thing these Digitech modellers like the RP360 went under the radar and were missed by many. I recently picked up a used RP360 (No expression pedal) in decent condition for £49 in the UK, which is a bargain for what you get in there and I am very impressed with the quality of effects, it’s functionality and editing quality.
For £49 I think I got a really great tool and have no complaints.

All tones have no warmth. To clean and sterile.

This stomp is always tried for classic rock and stuff like that. But if u like weird music, its just so much fun, it has a Ring Modulation, a nice Whammy, a cool verbs. Just buy it, in the used market hoy can find it in 80 bucks

Digitech made the best rack guitar systems in the 90s (my opinion)...such a pitty they are not there anymore. But the RP360XP is a fun tool to discover sounds.

what's the deal with the effects? Do they sound at least as good as Line 6 HD effects? If I;m not using the amp models, just using a few effects, is this a pretty good unit for playing live? I'm imagining the distortions are no good but what about the modulations?

Don't plug this into the front of your amp. It will sound like shit. But run through the effects loop sounds amazing

Sounds goood, but of course it needs to be tweaked to sound at its best.

This is exactly what I needed. The drum loops, looper, and basic effects let me practice effectively, have a good time, and work on new songs/experiment with new sounds.I don't know what everyone is complaining about. It does exactly what it claims to do and a reasonable price and it's durable. There are also plenty of videos out there of people using this thing to do all sorts of cool stuff.

Ok,🤨...Now everyone has got a view point on this unit...to say the least.
All Multi FX units or pedal boards are a matter of preference & choice!...to each his or her own!

But the actual point of the RP360 use is to be capable of designing your own sounds thru popular FX of your liking or tastes.
Tweaking is necessary for “fattening up” sounds on pedals or Amp Mods.
This multi-effects unit helps one do just that if you take time to study the manual and discover what’s possible...for any set up desired.
And it can help in eliminating cluster on pedal boards,..which require adequate power to function correctly & efficiently!(no hum)

My only hope is that Digitech supports it quite a bit longer in firmware updates!!...even through OS changes that are coming!..(or here already)...like featuring downloads of developed Digitech flagship & other popular pedals!
This could be done to keep the unit more competitive for it’s targeted market share.
It works well with Digitech’s TRIO+ Looper Band Creator!!...& can share the additional foot switch FS3X!!..+ all that FX variety in one sturdy box!...good value in that.

Although it’s been out quite sometime,..(must be familiar by now)...if you’ve got one,..really check out the manual,..study your FX and how they work,...TWEAK!!!..(EQ etc;)..and make your killer sounds & set up,..play your ass off & have all others wanting one too!...Rock on!🤘🏽😉🎵🎸

plug a tube boost/overdrive preamp pedal (such as a Blackstar) before this unit n you gonna see how it can sound o_O since the digital overall sound of this unit is pretty much frustative ...Digitech sounds too thin where Boss sounds too fat IMO... but the amp sim & the cab sim r pretty good

use a Tango Alpha Tango in the presentation of the pedal?

How does this stack up against a Boss GT-1?

This unit is better than my zoom multistomp ms=70cdr. Zoom was 130bucks and it is a confusing pile of garbage.The rp360 seems more practical and more options.

We have, it appears, an identical guitar style. I am an acoustic guitarist, who cannot really use a pick reliably – but I cannot get the attack you're getting. I use a hybrid kind of strum, index fingers & thumb., which works, but you must have nails? What's your secret? Plucking with flesh only here.
