With so much noise around, your channel is one of the constants I choose to consume. No better way to start a day! Hello from Vancouver, Canada.
ОтветитьReal Gs don't Read
ОтветитьBeen watching your channel for about 3 years now and I have enjoyed all your content. You also are the one that got me into journaling, I use your techniques to this day! Thank you for what you do!
ОтветитьJust read Dale Carnegies book.
Having never really wanting to win more friends or influence people another title could’ve been
“How to stop being socially awkward”
I’d have read it decades ago.
Thank you clark! I just wanted to leave a little hope for the late bloomers like myself - I am 36yo and I copied this mans charts onto posters and hung them on my wall (no shit) I have a Sunday ritual of addressing these topics in my Journal. Now I walk 10k steps a day while listening to mantras, read twice a day for 25mins, journaling and going to the gym..I'm a recovering addict with minor mental health issues and the truth is - My "worst" days, are never the days I am doing all of these things. Stop thinking, Start doing and thank you Clark Kegley
ОтветитьWhat's the list? I only got 13. And the ranking. I'm missing 2.
I Probably got distracted. Ugh! My ADHD!!
Oooo weeee!!! This is a fantastic list! I’ve got hundreds of books and couldn’t decide where to start! I’ve got great clarity now! Thank you so much!
ОтветитьI am just starting to read "Die with Zero" by Bill Perkins. Would love to hear your thoughts on this if you have read it. Great Video thanks
ОтветитьI started Green‘s Power-Laws-Book - and threw it aways after 1/5. I am just not interested in Thoughts like that at all. Boring stuff. My mind is too precious for that ;)
ОтветитьNapoleon hill😂
ОтветитьIt’s very frustrating that books are not in the focus of the camera most of the time.
ОтветитьAnother one for S tier would be Psycho-Cybernetics. Also the follow up book The Courage to be Happy is a superb book to read after The Courage to be Disliked.
The biggest issue with most of the books on the A and B tier is they're about 10x longer than they need to be. Deep Work for example could be about 30 pages or a three part blog post there is no reason for it to be 280 pages. Same with Atomic Habits.
Totally agree with on 48 Laws. While it offers some important insights you can take it too far and if you read it at the "wrong" time in life it can really screw you up.
The One Thing is ehhh, another book that honestly should have just been a blog post.
Both books on C tier don't even deserve to be on the list. They're both garbage.
Good stuff
ОтветитьTo “The One Things”. I absolutely disagree with the statement that large companies do one thing. Having worked at quite a few, it couldn’t be further from the truth. They’re good at one thing and recognized by that one thing. Which is very much different.
ОтветитьTo be honest, most of these books aren't useful. It's just a bunch of information that fill your mind.
ОтветитьIt took me 5 times reading "Rich Dad Poor Dad" before I got it. Buy assets that produce monthly cash flow. Cash flow is the holy grail of investing! How will you retire? You need to pay your bills. Why buy VTI and then have to sell it so you have monthly cash flow. You don't need to own real estate to get monthly cash flow. I'm in a bunch of investments that pay me monthly and I don't own any physical real estate. I'm retiring in the next 2 years at 54 and I won't have to sell any of my investments. Sorry, Clark- like me originally, you totally missed the message of this book. It's the #1 (still) business book of all time- 25 years and counting! Once I got it, I changed my investment strategy and don't have to wait til I'm an old lady to retire and enjoy financial independence. This book should go into the S tier for sure!
Ответитьshotgun mics are not made for this short distance ;) the trick with these is, you can hide them out of frame and still sound near
ОтветитьMeditations, Marcus Aurelius ? 🤔
ОтветитьI couldn’t finish Atomic Habits, Courage to be…,48 laws - they are dry and boring and 48 laws is just about how to be an uncaring psychopathic pric*.
ОтветитьOverall agree with most of your pics. I totally disagree with the Mark Manson book. It’s well-marketed but forgettable at best. One book missed is the Four Agreements. This book coupled with the Courage to be Disliked equals true transformation.
ОтветитьHonestly....Jordan
Peterson ... My mom always says "if you have nothing good to say about someone, then say nothing! It's a good rule. So, I'm gonna say nothing about Jordan Peterson...😅
I read almost all those books. Your rating of the books was spot on. I am not sure if you read The Four Agreements but that's one book I would add on the list, in A tier.
ОтветитьHi Clark just fyi…Napolean Hill dying penniless is apparently an urban myth. When he died, he had a financial worth of what would be the equivalent of 8.1 million dollars today. This is what I discovered in my research but as with everything on the internet, I cannot vouch for what is the absolute truth. I really enjoy your channel!
Ответить48 laws of power. .It’s one of the worst books. You can summarise it like:
“If you want to win boxing match you must break rules, put something heavy in the gloves. But do it carefully so that referee and rival will not notice it. For example in 19xx boxer X did it and he won a fight! So this rule works!”.
These are not smart rules, they are weak. People know that they can/able to behave like that but choose to not. If they choose to behave like that, still they don’t need this book to do it
As a lifelong avid book reader, books are not nor have they ever been life changing. 90% of them are content-less wastes of time; I read them knowing full well this is the case. But books are not salvation.
Ответитьvery good summary Clark, good list to follow up.
One thing just remind me how am i wasting time day to day on some non-sense tasks.
i should just focus on one topic development!
thank you so much!
it's super niche but 'early retirement extreme' is a crazy book like amazing how to live on NOTHING basically...it's for a certain kind of person but you should def checkoutifyouhaven't - its kind of hard to get a copy of ....and you've got to put FLOW on there...dude that book. am all in on all Ryan Holiday and Robert Green...i'd def throw up his daily laws... i read it every day and it's one thought, one aspect...etc. sorry but def check out early retirement extreme just for your own interest if haven't because you'd be into it (i am a huge reader like non stop ...alll your choices i'm on board with ....might change add some..lol.
ОтветитьAnother great book in my opinion is The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari
ОтветитьHonestly. Ikigai was the best help book I've ever read.
ОтветитьAlmost All self-help books can be reduced down to one paragraph.
Lose weight? Eat less exercise more.
Relationships? Be nice to people
Be more organized? Have a to-do list.
Thank you Cristiano Ronaldo for this video, I think the tier list is based on each life because everyone has different experiences and for me the best book is Courage to be Disliked or The Subtle Art of Not giving a Fuck.
ОтветитьLinchpin by Seth Godin
ОтветитьNapoleon Hill got coffee zilled
ОтветитьNo. The problem with Peterson is he is reaching out to young people who need guidance and is guiding them off a cliff.
ОтветитьOn the dealing with your inner voice stuff, I would have gone with the inner game of tennis. Other good books are the charisma myth and Mindset: The New Psychology of Success.
ОтветитьI wouldn't have admitted that I read anything from Jordan "Mr. Word Vomit" Peterson.
ОтветитьTry reading bhagwad Gita and let me know your review
Ответить12 Rules for Life should be S tier on content alone.
I’ve consumed 80 percent of your reviewed and some of them being above is laughable.
It’s diverse and every rule has a solid base.
If have decided you don’t like the individual and refuse to consume the content is akin to a Christian at least hearing Dawkins and coming to their own conclusion.
Real talk what you take from a book is on the reader.
ОтветитьHill's family and The Napoleon Hill foundation have repeatedly debunked him dying broke.
ОтветитьI think I discover my tribe here
Ответитьgreat vid but someone help why is the top tier the letter S? I know it's called God Tier in the first video by why S? what does S mean??? I honestly can't figure it out and it's driving me nuts plz thank you
ОтветитьWhy the sheepish expression on your thumbnail, though, that looks like you messed up on a house renovation project but are just gonna have to go with it! 😅 🔨
Ответитьthank you so much, greetings from chile.
ОтветитьYou should read Better than Before by Gretchen Rubin!
ОтветитьLove your channel and videos Clark.
One book I got a lot from was Covey’s 7Habits. Glad you had Carnegie’s book on S tier. Manson’s book is meh for me; I read it but don’t remember it. I’ll check out the One thing, sounds promising.
