Supplements aren’t regulated like meds are from our corrupt FDA. Big difference! FDA is definitely looking out for our best interests and health.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьI've been a vegetarian for 20 years. Is Eggshell Membrane effective? I know there is not a real substitute for collagen (and that it has to come from animals) but I have heard some good things but couldn't find any studies on it? I have had horrible varicose veins since I've been in my twenties. I've had to have surgery on them already once, and I've heard collagen will help strengthen those walls. Between marine and bovine which would you say is more effective?
ОтветитьTake raw chia seeds daily. U're welcome😊
ОтветитьI'm 23 years old can I use it is it good for me
ОтветитьBeen on collagen peptides for about 30 days at rate of 20 grams/day. Powder in liquid. Tolerating very well. Joints feel a lot better, but was taking it to halt hair loss. Too soon to tell if it has been effective for that.
ОтветитьYou almost slipped and said rabbit hole. Lol
ОтветитьI doubt it does much of anything. Unless my understanding of big pharma is wrong. If it was effective it would be bought out, monopolized, and sold for hundreds of dollars
ОтветитьI started taking collagen a few weeks ago. Having skin bruising on my forearms from high dose Prednisone a few months ago. My skin has regained thickness but still having bruising. (Sure better than the skin tearing I was experiencing. Seemed like my skin would tear if I breathed on it too hard.) Primary also has me taking glycine. After another of your videos, I ordered hyaluronic acid this morning.
I'm not particularly vain but this is embarrassing for me. Besides, I am a corrections nurse and being seen as having some weakness doesn't go over well in that environment.
I do also have ulcerative colitis, so I have difficulty absorbing certain nutrients. I was in a major flare, which led to the Prednisone. Been a nurse for 28 years and my CRP was the highest I had ever seen for anyone.
So what you're saying is no one will ever get collagen from anywhere? Hmmm.....Explain how you can.
ОтветитьWhat brand of collagen do you guys recommend?
ОтветитьBeen taking collagen since 1.5y ago after having lost lots of hair due to immunology related / allergy issue, and cannot praise enough and helped with hair regrowth! Also, brittle nails became stronger and getting tons of compliments on my skin these days 😃
As video suggests, made sure to go for a quality brand - 10gr daily of natural grass fed Type 1 & 3 bovine collagen. Made in Sweden 🇸🇪 as i know how strict they are on eco products! Even my 46 yo partner recently converted on results and he's a serious sceptic when comes to supplements 😂
I’ve been putting bovine collagen powder in my smoothie daily hoping to see a difference in hair, skin & nails. The first & most impressive change I noticed was in my joints & muscles. My very bad knees that were overdue for steroid injections I had gotten used to….I couldn’t make it up a few steps without wanting to cry. Over a year on collagen, no knee injections and I can run up the whole flight of stairs with zero pain in my knees. Also, if I overdo it exercising and pull a muscle, it feels recovered the next day whereas it used to take on average 3-4 days.
Then I noticed more hydration in my skin. My roommate has claimed my skin has been glowing a lot more since collagen.
Now, a year later, after a decade of the hair around the crown of my head being thinned out through hormone injections…the thickness of the hair around the crown of my head is all back to its thickest. I won’t go without my collagen now.
I got a toenail fungus I’ve been trying to cure naturally from wearing warm socks 24/7, so I don’t even wanna go there. Lol. Omg.
Should you take a break every now and then taking collegen, or can you take it daily forever
ОтветитьDrinking game = “localized to the skin”
ОтветитьCan anyone suggest a good collagen or one with most ideal ingredients, powder or vitamins?
ОтветитьI’ve heard conflicting information on taking collagen in hot coffee. Is it true that if you take collagen in a hot drink it decreases the effectiveness and basically just turns into gelatine?
Ответитьisnt glycine better than collagen?
ОтветитьCollagen is fraud!
Here is a short excerpt from Harvard Medical School:
"there isn't enough proof that taking collagen pills or consuming collagen drinks will make a difference in skin, hair, or nails. Our bodies cannot absorb collagen in its whole form"
Please join me in exposing these untruthful "doctors"!
There's no benefits from taking collagen, our body can't absorb collagen.
Our body breaks down collagen into proteins. Why buying expensive proteins? Simply these people are fraud and taking our money $$
I take 11grams a day a see absolutely no difference at all. Ive been taking it for over a year.
ОтветитьI’m still torn between Marine and Bovine. My aim is my hair & skin. Mostly hair loss. I’m 47, menopausal….marine or bovine? Help!
ОтветитьI’ve been using Vital Protein Collagen Peptides 20g from Sam’s Club everyday for over 4 months. My nails are strong and grow beautifully. My hair thinned after Covid. It seems to be helping a little. After listening to the video looks like a need to be taking something else for this problem. I’m 62 years old. Don’t have a lot of wrinkles. Between using Mary Kay skin care for over 30 years and maybe the Vital Protein has helped. Any suggestions for hair supplements growth?
ОтветитьThe FDA and CDC are a joke. I wouldn't believe anything they say after how COVID was handled. It's really a shame. Both used to be the gold standard.
ОтветитьIt’s expensive… I’m not sure about adding another skin related expense… maybe not the best bang for the buck?
ОтветитьI’m taking collagen peptides (types 1 & 3), superfood greens (spirulina and chlorella) with probiotics and niacin capsules. Externally I use retinol at night and vitamin C, D and E during the day. I must say my skin is clearing up fast. Dealing with acne and acne scars. My skin is so soft and looking better overall and a bit more energy. I’m keeping up this routine. I’ve researched that the spirulina and chlorella are great at detoxifying a fatty liver, so that’s why my acne is clearing up.
ОтветитьAm 36 today i start taking collegen powder
ОтветитьHorse Shit…supplements don’t work….show me the test results NOT PAID FOR BY THE SUPPLEMENT COMPANIES….
ОтветитьThank you. It's great that you covered the impact on hair (it's not made of collagen!). I read many product reviews stating improved hair thickness a few days after taking collagen. Supplements are expensive, but I am going to give it three months. Fingers crossed for improvements.
ОтветитьWould there be any benefit to heart health by taking a Collagen supplement?
ОтветитьYou keep saying more research is needed and more clinical trials need to be done. Well, who specifically is going to conduct these studies and all of these clinical trials and who will pay for them? Drug companies won’t conduct these studies unless they’ll be able to make money by patenting a new drug out of the deal. That explains why drug companies aren’t the least bit interested in spending lots of money on conducting studies on an herb or herbal extract that works better than their drugs unless they’ll be able to patent it. And you can’t patent a natural herb;
Universities have other priorities. The government certainly has more important areas where they need to be spending the taxpayers money. That leaves the supplement companies. Surely you understand this. WHO SPECIFICALLY will bother with conducting these clinical trials you would like to see? Where will the money come from?? Think about it.
I started collagen about 2 years ago. I have always had very thin nails and very dry skin. I can honestly say my nails and skin are much improved. I am also better with my lotion my dermatologist suggested I use so that as been part of the skin as well. BUT I think skin is not as thin as it was , wrinkles better, and nails not splitting at all. I have no joint pain but did not before so maybe it prevented it?? who knows. But I will continue taking it. Thanks for this update!
ОтветитьHi Dr Dray. Would you be able to discuss about kumiko collagen 15000 mg review? It claimed that it’s from Salmon ovary. Thank you
Also about Japanese collagen brands if there’s any you would recommend.
I am an Asian in late 30s, been using Collagen from few different trusted brands consistently for about 6-7 years right now and most people appreciate my skin.
I've been taking collagen supplements now for over 3 years. I took them with the benefits for skin and nails, mostly skin. I took them for over a year and never saw any improvements in my skin or my hair or nails. I was discouraged and felt like i was wasting money so i quit taking them. After I stopped, i started to notice arthritis pain in my hands and other joints, but exceptionally bad pain in the hands to the point, I couldn't even open jars or use scissors. I realized that i was not on collagen anymore, so i started back on daily collagen and the arthritis pain in my hands went away. I continue to take collagen every day for my joint health as it does make a huge difference and keeps the amount of pain meds like ibuprofen and tylenol and aleve way down, however, I have yet to see any difference in my hair , skin and nails.
ОтветитьI am seventy six and have used collagen for several years and am very happy with what I see in the mirror; also do power walking and weights!
ОтветитьMy son who studies biochemistry and nutrition told me that the body will utilize the collagen for whatever it needs or simply get rid of it. That the promise that it will go to your skin specifically is a wrong claim.
ОтветитьThanks. But why are you YELLING ? Hard to listen to.
ОтветитьCan we take collagen supplements during periods? Does it have any effect on the flow ?
ОтветитьIm in love
ОтветитьI've been using a combo fish/bovine/fowl collagen supplement in my coffee every day. When I run out, within 2 or 3 days, I can feel the difference in my facial skin. When I pick up a new supply, only 2 days later I can feel my facial skin tightening.
ОтветитьI was hoping you would also address Vegan/Vegetarian collagen - if that's even a thing.
ОтветитьCan someone tell me Dr. Dray's skin routine just briefly. Her skin is flawless and I don't want to watch hours to find out where she might've shared...thank you!
ОтветитьThanks for your analysis
ОтветитьThank you for the update. Do you take collagen supplements yourself?
ОтветитьI started using Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides bovine over a year ago and it cured a painful, red scalp condition that I had for over two years. My hair was dry, brittle, breaking and my part was getting wider. I used numerous hair products to cure the condition with minimal effect. Initially, I bought this for my skin but about a month after I started using it I noticed that my scalp wasn’t hurting anymore. Several months after that I could see that the new hair on my part was finally growing and not breaking off. At my last appointment, my hairdresser even commented that my hair looked very healthy. I haven’t noticed much difference to my skin or stiff joints, though my nails seem stronger. Regardless, just for the scalp improvement alone, this product was well worth using. Thanks for your videos!
ОтветитьI'm 33 but people thought that I'm 19.. my secret is collagen
ОтветитьI've been taking collagen supplementation for a week and can say I look 10 years younger (enough to look like a hs senior) and that's why I'm dating a hs senior. 😊
ОтветитьYou do have a good point about hair protein being keratin and collagen supplements got nothing to do with hair. I hear everyone’s testimonies saying their hair health has improved. So I’m not sure if it’s collagen supplements helping hair health?
ОтветитьThat nasal voice is horrid, pls fix
ОтветитьFor some reason I think she resembles Jordan Peterson
Ответить
